What would you call chicks in armor who run around killing monsters with big Claymore swords? "Awesome? sick? ridonkulous?" All good guesses, but try something a bit more obvious... "Claymores". Now add a topless Lucy Lawless and Baily escaping from rabid deer on a bullet train and you've got episode 16 of AnimeTV!

Hima - Clover, Tegami Bachi, Time of Eve, Pale Cocoon, Spartacus: Blood and Sand

Miley is our ever-faithful goto gal for a fantastic manga by Toriko Chiya called Clover. Nick recommends Tegami Bachi, but prefers the cool 2D over 3D style in Time of Eve and the previous work by Director Yasuhiro Yoshiura called Pale Cocoon. And Kaiji points out the finer aspects fo the current show on starz called Spartacus: Blood and Sand, such the fact that actress Lucy Lawless appears topless.

Bailey takes the Shinkansen or Bullet Train to Kyoto to see the sites and visit the Manga Museum. She tries to feed the deer on one of her many tourist stops and, um... well you'll just have to watch.

Review: Claymore

Claymore is a 26-episode anime produced by Madhouse and directed by Hiroyuki Tanaka, that was originally release in the US in 2008 and was recently re-released on Blu-ray. In a world where humans coexist with sentient monsters called Yoma that feed on human innards, an organization has created an order of half-human, half-yoma warriors called "Claymores", to protect humans from the yoma for a large fee.

A Claymore known as Clare saves a small town by killing a Yoma living there, and meets Raki, a boy who ends up following Clare from town to town during her Yoma-killing jobs. When the two are separated during a battle, Clare promises to find him if she survives. The story becomes a tale of revenge, as Clare seeks to confront someone from her past.
