Tower of Druaga: Aegis of Uruk

Thursday, January 14th, 2010 – running time 19:29

Kaiji watches Full Metal Alchemist, Nicholas does Soul Eater, Miley reads Crimson Hero, and Laura admits to actually liking Bleach. We'll take a sneak peek at what Bailey is doing in Japan and then the panel reviews Tower of Druaga: Aegis of Uruk.

This week our panel takes on Tower of Druaga: Aegis of Uruk, and we get a sneak peek of Bailey in Japan.

Hima - Full Metal Alchemist, Soul Eater, Crimson Hero, and Bleach

Kaiji, Nicholas, Laura, and Miley are up in this episode and have spent their Hima with some popular titles.  Laura decides to "eat her hat" when she admits she's recently been enjoying Bleach despite initially giving it a bad review.  Nicholas has been busy with the game Torchlight, reading the manga Shout Out Loud, and is powering through the anime One Piece.

Kaiji has managed to pull himself out of the World of Warcraft abyss long enough to get through some of Full Metal Alchemist surpised to find that it follows the manga and is much more interesting. And resident manga fan Miley wraps it up with a quick shout out for Crimson Hero.

Bailey in Japan

Bailey reports from her webcam with a little tease of what's to come and a call for your suggestions.

Tower of Druaga: Aegis of Uruk

Tower of Druaga: Aegis of Uruk is an anime based on an old 1980's Namco game by the same name. This review by our panel may just leave you guessing as there seems to be both affection for the characters and style, while extreme dislike for the story. Spoiler Alert: Kaiji spills the ending of season 1, which totally let him down. But, remember as Nicholas points out - there's always the "poop pit" episode!
