Naruto, CLAMP, and Kenichi fill up some free time, Nicholas invades Bang Zoom, and the panel takes on the Blu-ray remake of Ghost in the Shell 2.0
New co-host Cristina Vee joins the ATV crew as they take on the Blu-ray remake of the anime classic Ghost in the Shell. It's 2.0, but not a sequel.
Jonathan, Roy, Laura, and Miley give the dish on the games, anime, and manga that keep them busy. Roy chimes in with a manga titled Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple.
It centers around a young boy who is learning karate, but never seems to catch a break. And it would seem far too much has rubbed off on Roy, judging by the on camera martial arts challenge he tosses back to host Johnny Bosch.
Miley waxes on her latest read X and it's being dropped from the Asuka series. Apparently those CLAMP women just won't give in when it comes to their visual style.
Never to be out of the know on Naruto, Laura brings us up to date and of course points out the merits of Kakashi's recent survival.
And finally Jonathan, it seems, can't get enough of his new high - the card game Yu-Gi-Oh. Not only has he won a tournament recently, but apparently there's an open challenge to anyone who would dare to match his evil stare.
Bang Zoom Entertainment is the leading voice-over and post production studio in North America. They are known for the American dubs of many popular anime titles and were recently featured on The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien.
Our own Nicholas has decided to attempt to take over Bang Zoom Studios by invading with his band of arctic ninjas and capturing the leader, President and Executive Producer, Eric Sherman.
Watch Nick hold voice actor Keith Silverstein hostage for a quick interview and find out if he succeeds in capturing the elusive "Herman" Sherman.
Ghost in the Shell has been re-released on Blu-ray with some special features that include scenes redone with CGI in addition to improvements in the audio and other elements. Our panel knows the title well and has mixed feeling about the remake. And to make matters worse, it seems that there is a Ghost in the Shell 2. So, not to be confused with the sequel, this title is Ghost in the Shell 2.0 (point oh!).
Be wary of this review as there are spoilers. But mainly with regards to what you should expect on the new Blu-ray disk. If you haven't seen this anime, or you have and you're considering the new release, this review is a must see.
