With so many options for location based apps, how do find one that works for you? Ron discovers Aloqa and with it bars, restaurants and businesses in the world around him.
After playing with location based apps like Where and Sherpa, I was never really satisfied with location based apps. Either the information wasn't as good as I'd expect it to be or the interface wasn't as smooth or intuitive as I'd like it to be. When you're on the road or out on the town at night, you need to be able to find relevant information fast. Aloqa, free in the Android marketplace, does just that - provides a great interface for accessing relevant and valuable local data about restaurants, businesses, ATM locations and more.

Version 1.0 | Developed by Aloqa | Free
PROS:
- Data organized into channels
- Easy accessible action buttons
- Locations & Businesses that are actually relevant
- Great notification and power management
CONS:
- Potential battery drain with GPS use
- Settings functions are slightly confusing
Get this app!

If you haven't guessed already, I'm all about this app. With data organized into channels that you can actually use and control over the use of GPS, Aloqa can make being out on the road much easier with all the info it delivers.
