Apps and social networking: together at last? With 100,000 apps and counting, Chorus could help you find ones that are actually useful.

The Verdict

Once you download Chorus - at no cost - you are treated to a feed of what your friends (initially, the Chorus development team) have been downloading, what they recommend, and a means of searching through all the available apps. In order for Chorus to automatically read what apps you have downloaded, you will need to download the Content Gobbler from the Chorus website. When you come across something you may want to download, you must exit the app to visit the app store. It would be nice if there were a way for Chorus to work without these extra hurdles.

But minor annoyances aside, Chorus IS free, and provides a fun way to discover cool apps among the clutter. Even if your friend list is limited at first, it's a lot more interesting than digging through the app store. So we recommend downloading Chorus.
