The insanely popular website, Hulu.com, moves away from the web and launches Hulu Plus for the iPad, iPhone and soon to be other devices. But it comes with a catch, a monthly subscription fee and ads within the content. Is this the right move? Ron Richards and David Prager debate whether or not there are any pluses to Hulu Plus.
The release of Hulu Plus for the iPad sparked a heated discussion in the AppJudgment offices, so much so that David Prager and Ron Richards took it to the studio to discuss and debate the pluses and minuses to Hulu's new app and their business model of a subscription based service with ad interruptions. But is it enough to break through on PlayStation 3s, XBox360s and blu-ray players? Could this be the beginning of something new and great or the beginning of the end for Hulu?
