iPhone: iBlogger

Are you a deadbeat blogger? (Today's host is.) Can iBlogger empower you to update your blog more often?

Segments

For those of us with personal websites or blogs--and limited free time!--mobile blogging sounds like an excellent way to help maintain our online presence. Is iBlogger the answer?

iBlogger

iBlogger is impressive in that it supports a wide variety of platforms--including Blogger, Wordpress, Livejournal, Squarespace as well as several of the small platforms. Registering your account or accounts is easy--you simply type in your login information.

However, for what iBlogger boasts in diverse platform support, it lacks in functionality. You can upload photos, but cannot resize or align them. You can post links, but they show up as long unsightly URLs, and there seems to be no viable means of posting video or attaching outside sources other than just by providing links. For the hefty $10 price tag, we expected more from this app, and believe that discriminating (even if infrequent!) bloggers are likely to agree.
