iPhone: Travel Apps

Sunday, October 18th, 2009 – running time 06:49
Leaving the country with your iPhone? Learn what apps you'll need to make your travel experience a convenient (and cheaper) one.

Segments

Traveling with your iPhone can be costly if you want to have internet access internationally. An AT&T international data plan starts at $25 for 20 MB of data for the month, which many of us will soak up within a few days. Aside from unlocking your phone and using an international sim card, you may want to consider staying offline. This doesn't mean your phone will be rendered useless. There's plenty of offline applications that use GPS, or databases of information to help you along your travels. Mauricio Balvanera puts together a travel app goodie bag for your globe trotting needs.
