Photo Translation App for the iPhone: PicTranslator

Sunday, January 3rd, 2010 – running time 04:36
Stephanie Chu reviews a translation iPhone app that might help you in your travels! Will PicTranslator work for you?

Segments

If you've ever traveled in another country where you don't speak the language, now there is an iPhone app that can help you order food at tables after looking at the menu, or help you understand street signs. PicTranslator allows you to take photos of words you see, and it spits back a translation to your language as well as how to pronounce the words (limited languages).

This seems like a great idea, but we give you both the highs and lows of using this app.
