January 22nd, 2008 at 10:18 by David Prager in Announcements, Live Events

Last week we got a call from our friends at Techcrunch asking if we could help them out by shooting the Crunchies 2007 awards show that took place on Friday, January 18th.
We were more than happy to attend the show, put our camera in the middle of the back row, and plug into the sound board.

The Crunchies 2007 is a collaboration between GigaOM, VentureBeat, Read/WriteWeb, and Techcrunch with awards given in 20 categories:

Thanks for throwing this up Prager. I really enjoyed it. I’m probably pointing out the obvious here, but it seems the big winners were all about information. That makes a lot of sense as information or, data in context, has historically been the most desirable product to human beings. More-so than any physical product, getting information; packaging it appropriately; and disseminating it efficiently is what really drives, inspires, and educates us.

I look forward to next years Crunchies. Cheers to Kevin for his win.

    Peace,

    Simon

Does anyone know where else I can watch the video? eg: Google Video link? I always have trouble streaming in the Rev3 player for some reason. It’s all like “we..lcome to.. the .. .”

Is there a way to download this? I’m on a crappy college network w/ horrible speeds (think usual 10k/sec, max 50k/sec) While it will be covered in GigaOM, I doubt the entire thing will be shown.

I agree, IMO every show on revision3 should have the ability to download. I watch all my shows on XBMC pretty much exclusively and I’m sure at some point there will be a way to stream them live from the site to XBMC. Currently it is far easier to simply download them and watch them. please add a download link for every show you post.
