It’s been less than a week since the new Revision3.com site went live and it’s been an exciting time. We’ve received tons of feedback from our audience and we really appreciate it all, both good and bad! We want to thank those of you who have taken the time to congratulate and compliment us on our new home on the Internet, your comments really keep us going. As for the criticisms and complaints, thank you too! Your comments have pointed out to us what we need to work on and how we can improve the site.
With that said, I’m happy to announce that we’ve got some more changes to the site that I’m sure many of you will appreciate:
- Homepage - We’ve updated our homepage with some tweaking of the design and added a section, “Just Released” which highlights the latest releases from Revision3, as well as a dedicated page with our episodes in chronological order of release. So now, you can stay on top of our shows as they are released!
- Speed and Optimization - This one is a little less obvious, but we’re constantly working on the site’s code, image sizes and on our servers to keep the site running quick and responsive. We received a huge response from our new site launch, which led to increased traffic and more folks on our already vibrant forums, which is great, but also led to the site being a bit slower than everyone would like. Trust me, we get just as frustrated as you do. But we’re working on it and you should already be noticing the speed of site becoming less and less of an issue. Our IT guys are working overtime on this, so we ask that you continue to be patient.
Like I said, it’s been exciting and it should continue to be. We’re working our collective butts off to make the best website for you, our audience to enjoy. So check out our new features and stay tuned for more as we’ll be rolling them out on a steady basis. And as always, please feel free to leave your comments and let us know what you like and dislike. We are listening and appreciate the feedback!

thank you for the ‘just released’ section.
Please test the site in firefox on linux there are many things that don’t work correctly!
Really nice job!
Just like the cereals, THEY’RE GRREEAATT…
cdubbs, I have firefox and had the same problem until I cleared my cache. Just hold your control key down while clicking refresh on any page you have an error on. It very well may look better after the refresh.
Much needed improvement! The just released section is a vital addition!
Can we please have separate RSS feeds for Tekzilla? One for the dailies and one for the weekly? It’s such a hassle for them to both be within the same feed if you only want one version of the show.
I’m digging the release page.
A few issues I have noticed -
On the recent posts to the left here, there is a specific height set, and it’s cutting off the last topic. Nothing big, but noticeable.
Will you guys add the size of the episodes on the “download this episode” links. I hate not being able to see how big stuff is.
Thanks.
Good stuff team.
Only a few problems for me:
- the animated pics on the homepage don’t play nice with adblock (on Safari), although this may serve me right for not displaying ads. Honestly though, I NEVER click banner ads.
- I can’t comment on blog posts in Safari, nor can I log in from the link at the bottom of the page (on a blog). It also doesn’t display all of the comments, only the first two
Suggestion:
- add a section for the shows that each user specifically subscribes to, or has selected on some sort of profile page setup. Maybe some kind of custom page for each user that only displays info that is pertinent to their fave shows
Again, great work!
Thanks for the ‘new releases’ section.
None of the downloads are working (I refuse to watch TV on my computer monitor)
Things seem to be improving, thanks. This request is going to seem stupid but could you change the color attribute of your body tag in the style.css to #555555 or #444444 to make reading these pages just a little easier on the eye. The text is just to light. Most people would never realize the change occurred, but even though it would be subtle, it would have a good impact.
Why did it take so long to put this on?
Also why on earth was it ever missed?
I made my own to put my on anyway: http://tv.is-hacked.com/
Thanks for listening and being so quick to respond regarding the just released section : )
thanks for the update I like the web page a lot better its great keep up the great work
As for missed, you know, we do make mistakes.
Download size, yeah, that’s a good one..
Downloads not working, we’ve heard that a few times, not sure why.. Let us know again if it happens.. Could be a problem with our provider.
On the color attribute… I’ll ask!
Love the tv is hacked hack. Nice!

Thanks netdigger, it looks much better now. I still don’t see the cool slideshow of new things under the menu. Does anyone else see that in linux?
Thanks Revision3 for listening to your fan base, especially for bringing back the ‘just released’ quick links. That is a huge help.
The site is faster, and the graphics are polished, good job. Though I’m not 100% sure about the color scheme, but I can look past that.
Previously I gave the new site a 4/10. I’ve bumped it up to 7/10. Thank you.
The site looks good only 1 small problem, on Opera 9.25 Mac the drop down menu’s don’t work, just unusable.
Hey cdubbs, I just “fixed” my firefox. I can see the slideshow now. I added an exception rule to my AdBlock Plus for the REV3 website.
The exception looks like this:
After that, I just refreshed the page and the pics showed up.
Really like the new front page is alot cleaner then the first attempt.
But as a design note, when your using the flash player to watch a show when you role over the shows tab at the top the drop down menu goes behind the flash video player, i know this is a problem with the z-index and flash but its still a design problem that could do with being fixed
Looks a little better, I’d drop the white for the old grey though, maybe greasemonkey can help me there.
Still really slow compared to before. Ie. The footer looks style looks great.
Feeds are once again borked.
Protocol Violation in response header CR must be followed by LF
I like the new design. You know how they gerbils that are designing the web page said on the gazette that they were surprised at how many people still use Internet Explorer? Well. I would personally love to delete Internet Exloiter off of EVERY machine I got my hands off, but the simple fact is this. How many times do you go to some site and try to do something, and it says… does is not supported in your browser. Please use Internet Exploiter version 6 or higher to use . I hate that crap. And that is total crap. It is like there is some conspiracy for some sites to still “require” you to use the stock browser. It is like a last ditch effort “Tinyhard’s” part to keep their explorer in use. I have had nothing but problems with IE. One time I got a virus from using it and it was like it deleted itself off of my system. The only way to open it was to type the address in the my computer explorer address bar. Then I would get 10 pop-ups that would end up crashing it. Firefox is clearly far superior. In fact just about any other browser is superior.
Please fix the RSS feeds…..
