First off the series 1 did not have network capability that is the Series 2 Tivos. And the format they used was a version of MPEG 2 and that does not take 2 to 3 times as long to convert. This is just a conspiracy concocted from TIVO to get us to by the newer boxes. I know something was going to happen when discovery bought you guys out. This is just wrong.
