Tekzilla is Expanding!

November 16th, 2010 at 04:10 by Jackie Talbott in Announcements, Shows

Tekzilla, Revision3′s weekly tech show that feeds your tech hunger, is expanding to a second weekly episode and included HD Nation segments.

We’re bursting at the seams trying to feed your tech hunger with a single weekly show! So naturally, what’s Revision3′s response? Take Tekzilla to two full episodes a week! As part of this process, HD Nation will become regular segments in Tekzilla. Although episode #71 will be the last stand alone HD Nation show, we’re not going anywhere! Robert Heron will be joining the Tekzilla family, where he’ll be bringing all of his great HD, HDTV and home theater expertise!

For you die-hard HD and home theater enthusiasts who only want HD and home theater news and information, we’ll be sending out the HD Nation segments through the HD Nation RSS feeds separately.

We want Tekzilla fans to have all the hands on how-to, tech tips, product reviews and news that they want. With two full Tekzilla episodes each week, Tekzilla Dailies, and continuing HD coverage at HDNation.TV, we’re taking a big step towards delivering it just for you.

Please join us as we continue to make Tekzilla the best technology video show anywhere because let’s face it: Tekzilla feeds your tech hunger!

The new and improved Tekzilla will begin on Tuesday, November 23rd in HD Nation’s existing time slot, then catch it all over again on Thursday, November 25th! The show will continue to be a Tuesday/Thursday semiweekly release.

We’re Going Back to Blu-con!

November 2nd, 2010 at 07:40 by Patrick Norton in Shows

James Cameron, the director of Avatar and Titanic, talking Blu-ray?

You know Robert Heron and I are all over that for HD Nation… Blu-ray is the our high def format of choice!

So we’re seriously excited to be back covering Blu-con!

From updates on the latest developments on Blu-ray Disc, presentations and panels on The Film Foundation and Blu-ray’s roll in the preservation of classic cinema (Remember our coverage of Martin Scorsese’s discussion at Blu-con 2.0 last year?) and the and the challenges of Blu-ray 3D, this should be good.

It’s not just Hollywood, either. Amazon.com’s VP of Music and Video wil be on hand to talk about the Blu-ray Market. Wall Street Analysts will interview the Presidents of Lionsgate, Sony Pictures, Fox, Universal and Warner on Blu-ray, and, hey, did we mention the Conversation with James Cameron and Jon Landau?

Blu-con 2010, people! Catch it all on HD Nation!

Programming Update: Food Mob & ROFL

October 26th, 2010 at 04:30 by Ryan Vance in Shows

I wanted to update everyone on a couple of recent programming changes here at Revision3. After 22 episodes filled with delicious and simple recipes, Food Mob is unfortunately coming to an end. Niall and his entire team worked tirelessly every week to give us an amazing and entertaining episode full of really useful information and interactivity. I know their community means the world to them (and us) and they (and we) really appreciate each and every one of you for embracing this show.

Niall, Aaron and the rest of their crew were absolutely fantastic to work with in every step of developing this series. You can continue to follow Niall in his pursuits at Simply Zesty. We wish the guys well and hope to work with them again in the future.

One other programming note to alert you to: ROFL has moved off of the full Revision3 platform and onto purely iTunes distribution through our awesome partners at Rooftop Comedy. Be sure to subscribe there for all future episodes of that show.

Goodbye to The Digg Reel

September 28th, 2010 at 03:30 by Ryan Vance in Announcements, Shows

Even in the amazing world of new media and internet television, all good things must come to an end. Digg Reel viewers saw on yesterday’s show that this will be the show’s last week. After two and a half years and over two hundred and sixty episodes, we’re saying a heavy hearted goodbye to this show that’s helped to define a genre: the internet clip show. Andrew Bancroft brought his unhinged creativity and tireless work to the show over these past couple of years. Other hosts like Annie Gaus and Jessica Corbin (when the show launched) have also brought amazing talent to the studio and turned in one great episode after another.

However, certain realities exist in any media company: how much can we do at once? We’ve had to make the exceptionally difficult decision to stop making this show in order to make room for new projects we’ll be announcing in the coming weeks.

I want to thank Andrew and Annie for their unending commitment to the show and also to the production staff of producers and editors who made the show for you every week. Annie is going to be taking lead on one of our “new projects” coming soon, so stay tuned for that AND you’ll keep seeing her on App Judgment.

We’re always looking to bring you guys the best possible programming the online world has to offer. Sometimes this means making really tough decisions but we hope you’re going to love everything we have coming down the pipe.
