- ACHIEVES RECORD AUDIENCE, FINANCIAL GROWTH AND DISTRIBUTION EXPANSION -
- TEKZILLA & SCAM SCHOOL JOIN DIGGNATION IN THE MILLION MONTHLY VIEWERS CLUB!-

San Francisco, CA – February 2, 2010 – Revision3, the leading Internet Television network, today announced its growth results for 2009. Show viewership across the network climbed to nearly 1.5 billion minutes of viewer engagement while the company grew its revenue 30%. On the ad sales side, Revision3 increased its average deal by 50% and added major brands including Klondike, Ford, Adidas, Coors, Patron, Nokia and Panasonic to its brand advertising roster.

“We’re coming off a tremendous year in 2009, with impressive gains in viewership, advertising and distribution”, said Revision3 CEO Jim Louderback, “What’s even more amazing is that we achieved this success during what’s now being called ‘The Great Recession’. I’m proud of how our entire team worked together to deliver such an amazing performance, and am even more excited about our outlook for 2010 – which will be huge!”

Revision3 also made great strides in broadening both the depth and breadth of its programming, by adding 10 new shows during 2009 to its lineup while increasing viewership of its current show roster. Two of its shows, Tekzilla and Scam School, saw a significant increase in viewership during 2009. Scam School’s viewership increased nearly 200% while Tekzilla showed continued growth with a 30% increase in audience year over year.

Tekzilla, the tech review, help and interview show hosted by Patrick Norton & Veronica Belmont saw steady continued growth, while Brian Brushwood’s highly entertaining Scam School, which delivers a weekly dose of street tricks and bar pranks saw steady growth driven in part by both live performances at SXSW and other venues. Both shows surpassed the 1 million monthly views threshold and joined Diggnation as three of the top video programs available on the Internet. In 2010, the Internet breakthrough hit Diggnation, hosted by Kevin Rose and Alex Albrecht, will celebrate five years of covering the top stories on Digg.com each week.

“I’m extremely proud of the performance of all our shows including the existing line up as well as the new titles we launched this year. It’s clear our audience is embracing the new while staying dedicated to the shows they’ve always loved,” said Ryan Vance, Vice President of Programming & Production, “In addition, it’s exciting to see our new viewers are coming to Revision3 every day and finding a deep well of content to get passionate about.”

Other 2009 milestones include:
•	Viewership Performance – Revision3’s programs were viewed nearly 70M times during 2009, with viewer engagement up to nearly 1.5 billion minutes.

•	New Shows – With 10 show launches in 2009, Revision3 added to its dominant portfolio in the video games, movie, and technology categories, along with building a strong lineup of comedy shows. New shows included:
o	Video Games: CO-OP, Bytejacker
o	Technology : HD Nation, AppJudgment
o	Culture & Film: Film Riot, Digg Dialogg
o	Comedy: Web Zeroes, LandlineTV, INST MSGS, ROFL

•	Expanded Distribution Network – Adding to its already robust distribution network, Revision3 further expanded its distribution to everything from big-screen HDTVs to cellphones by inking deals with leading networks and “over the top” set top box services. Significant new partners include TIVO, Roku, Boxee, the PopBox and Clearleap.

•	Advertising Performance - Revision3’s unique sponsorship model continues to drive unprecedented engagement and results for advertisers with some clients reporting over 500% ROI. From integrated in-show sponsorships, to dynamic video campaigns to sponsored live events and custom content, Revision3 works closely with each sponsor to deliver on campaign objectives.

•	Advertising Clients – Returning sponsors Go Daddy, Squarespace, Netflix, Anheuser-Busch, HP, Microsoft, EA, Citrix and Virgin America were joined by the likes of Coors, Nokia, Ford, Klondike, Patron and Adidas bringing the company’s roster of clients to over 100 advertisers.

“We saw major brands from a variety of categories embracing Revision3 in 2009. With our unique sponsorship model, we’re able to integrate products and brands into the content of our shows. This Social Influence Marketing model leverages the hosts of the shows to deliver marketing messages creating a unique opportunity for brands to connect with our engaged audience.” said Chief Revenue Officer, Brad Murphy, “This connection empowers the viewers to become brand ambassadors as they use social media to share these conversations with their online networks, effectively broadening the reach of the campaign beyond the audience of the show.”

Revision3 plans to continue momentum into 2010 with continued excellence in programming, expansion of distribution and innovation in technology with plans to expand its mobile and social presence. All Revision3 programs can be seen at www.revision3.com.

About Revision3
Revision3 is the first media company that gets it. Born from the Internet, Revision3 is the home of Internet Television, creating and producing shows for a new audience: passionate, committed fans who want to watch shows about technology, modern culture, video games, entertainment, music and comedy that entertain, educate and help to expand their life experiences.

The company was founded in 2005 by technology visionaries Kevin Rose, Jay Adelson and David Prager because they couldn’t find anything they wanted to watch on traditional television. The company is now led by Internet TV pioneer Jim Louderback. Revision3’s programs can be found everywhere from Revision3.com to a wide range of platforms, including iTunes, YouTube, Dailymotion, Metacafe, TIVO, Roku, Blip.TV and many others. Shows can be watched on any device, from a cell phone to an Apple iPod to a computer or a TV.

Mr. Conan “CoCo” O’Brien,

I’m taking this opportunity to officially offer you a brand-new show of your choosing here at Revision3. Rest assured, you’ll be able to bring your set, band and even Andy (especially Andy) with you as you transition to our cutting-edge online TV network. We have room for the Masturbating Bear, FedEx Pope and even Mini Jay Leno here on the internet.

Have you seen the internet lately? It’s huge!

Now I know what you’re thinking: “This is absolutely the offer I’ve been waiting for.” I’m sure you’re also thinking: “but I have a traditional TV network show right now, and offers from others, why would I leave the traditional networks?” One word, Conan: the future. (OK, that’s two words). I know you don’t have a big footprint in online media at the moment, but take our word for it: Internet television is the future. The space has seen a 35% average increase in advertising spending in 2009. (Just think how many cigars that would buy for Triumph The Comic Insult Dog).

Here’s another benefit the internet can offer: no official air time. That’s right. NO AIR TIME. This is the world of non-linear entertainment: some may watch your show at 11:35, some at 12:05, some at 10:00…and who cares….you finished shooting the show at 6:30 and are asleep by then anyhow!

I know you’re also weighing countless job offers from extended cable networks and hardcore porn channels. Just know we serve more videos than your average porn site (not true) and have more viewers than your average extended cable network (true).

To sum up, Conan, you have the keys to the kingdom here at Revision3. You want to change our studio around? Done. Want to move any of our existing shows to 10pm Please do. Want to give Andy his own show so he can finally truly control the universe? Done. You name the game, we’ll make it happen.

Other benefits:
- A fantastic creative and supportive working environment
- No network censors
- Top notch adsales team monetizing your show
- Complimentary broadband
- “Competitive” salary (you’re going to have more money than Oprah from NBC, so what do you care?!)
- Managed social media strategy, building a dedicated audience around your show
- Decent benefits

Call me any time, day or night. As one “really tall guy” to another, I promise never to pull a Jeff Zucker on you. Here’s hoping Revision3, internet television, can be the new home to countless string dances in the future!

Ryan Vance
VP Programming/Production

Just about 4 years ago, I approached my friend, Bert Monroy, and told him that I started a fledgling little Internet TV network called Revision3. Bert and I became friends when I used to work as a segment producer for the now defunct cable television network, TechTV. I worked on a daily live technology variety show called The Screen Savers and Bert would frequent the show as a guest to demonstrate tips and tricks in Photoshop. A good percentage of the time, I would produce those segments.

It would be putting it lightly to say that Bert is an expert in digital artistry, specifically Photoshop. You can read plenty more about Bert here, including the fact that he is a member of the Photoshop Hall of Fame.

I approached Bert because I thought it would be a fantastic idea to expand on the types of segments that he did on The Screen Savers by turning the concept into an entire web television series. A few months later, and PixelPerfect with Bert Monroy was born!

Sans a brief hiatus for a couple of months in 2008, new episodes of Pixel Perfect have been released every week for 160 weeks. My math isn’t the greatest, but I think we’re talkin’ about 50 hours of PixelPerfect with Bert Monroy.

All good things usually come to an end, however. Bert has decided to spend the coming months focusing his energy on personal projects including his latest work of fine art entitled “Times Square” and his work for Lynda.com.

We wish Bert all the very best and hope he’ll come back to make guest appearances on shows like Tekzilla from time to time to share his wisdom on Hyper-realist art and Photoshop.

See Bert’s goodbye below from the last episode of PixelPerfect with Bert Monroy:

Here at Revision3, we make television, and while we release it through this newfangled thing called “the Internet,” at the end of the day, we make television. So naturally we look forward to opportunities to meet and participate with other members of the Television community, and one of the best events for that is NATPE, The National Association of Television Program Executives. Jim Louderback, Revision3 CEO; Ryan Vance, VP of Programming and Alex Albrecht, host of Diggnation and the Totally Rad Show will be attending and participating on planels at NATPE.

The fine folks over at NATPE sent us some info to share with you:
The National Association of Television Program Executives, NATPE, is hosting their annual Market & Conference in Las Vegas this January 2010 before they pack up and ship out to Miami. Viva “Last” Vegas is the motto to live by for this year’s conference, and NATPE is seizing every opportunity to make it a great experience.

NATPE 2010 will feature an updated, bustling marketplace floor, a jam-packed three-day schedule and exciting special programs and features.

The Celebrity Chef Kitchen is back this year with culinary masters Charlie Palmer, Paul Bartolotta, Richard Blais, and Brian Malarky (just to name a few) cooking up some fun on the marketplace floor.

The confirmed speaker and session moderator list is looking pretty exciting with some major industry giants. Monday, January 25, (delete Day One out of the three,) boasts entertainment mega-players such as David Zaslav, CEO & President of Discovery Communications, the entire cast of ABC’s Modern Family, Bill Lawrence, Creator/Executive Producer, Scrubs and Cougar Town and Michael Eisner, former Chairman & CEO of Walt Disney Company and founder of Torrante company. To top it off, the 7th Annual Brandon Tartikoff Legacy Awards take place Monday evening honoring Jeff Gaspin, Irwin Gotlieb, Judge Judith Sheindlin, and David E. Kelley. And that’s just Day One!

What about Days Two & Three, you ask? Check out the schedule.

NATPE 2010 is guaranteed to be a hit with this line-up, so if you’re looking to rub elbows with some industry geniuses, talk some biz, and learn a lot, register now to ensure your spot at the conference. Here are some helpful links:

The time has come for the annual Podcast Awards, brought to you by Podcast Connect Inc.! Here at Revision3 we’ve worked super hard on all of our shows this year, and we’re stoked to announce that many of them are getting recognized and nominated for various categories.

Several of our new shows in 2009 were nominated:
- Film Riot is nominated for “Best Produced”
- ROFL is nominated in the category of “Comedy”
- CO-OP is in the running for the “Gaming” category

Film Riot is also joined by some of our classic shows: Diggnation, Scam School and Tekzilla, as nominees for the very competitive category of “Best Video Podcast.” We’re honored to represent 40% of the nominees in that category!

We want to thank all of you, our loyal Revision3 audience in your support of our shows and for nominating them to be considered for these awards. We love the Podcast Awards because it’s completely audience submitted and voted on. In previous years, Diggnation and The Totally Rad Show have won, and we’d love to add some more wins in 2009.

So you know what to do! Head over to the Podcast Awards website and show your love! You can vote once a day, every day, until the voting period closes on November 30th. Winners will be announced during a live Podcast Awards Ceremony in mid-December - exact date is currently TBA. For updates along the way, you can follow @podcastawards on Twitter, or Podcast Connect, Inc. coordinator, Todd Cochrane at @geeknews.

It’s my great pleasure to present INST MSGS, our brand new show launching this week! This show is one of the most artistic, irreverent and unexpected series we’ve launched here at Revision3 and I’m extremely excited about it. Each week, you’re going to be taken in a very different direction as a new corner of the internet is explored and dramatized. One week you may see puppets, the next, online dating catastrophes and then animal tweets. As I write this I know how crazy it sounds, but trust me, you’re going to love it. The team of producers (Ann, Justin and Matthieu) are extremely creative and have a ton of amazing ideas up their sleeves. Subscribe and keep coming back week after week because you never know what you’re going to see! We’re very proud of this show and can’t wait to show you the upcoming episodes.

Check out the first episode below.

The INST MSGS team is also looking for your suggestions about what they should do next, so be sure to interact with them on the show’s forums, or over on Twitter or Facebook.

We’ve got more show launches coming this year so stay tuned!
