to Internet’s Most Popular Destination for the First Time

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — March 31, 2009 — iWidgets, the social syndication company, and Revision3, the TV network for the Internet generation, have teamed up to deliver fresh content from the hit show Diggnation directly to loyal fans. By using the iWidgets social syndication platform, Revision3 will syndicate Diggnation clips to Facebook, engaging fans where they’re spending most of their online time and tapping into the native viral channels of the platform by updating news feeds and enabling targeted friend invites.

The Diggnation widget can be found on the Diggnation Facebook Fan Page at http://tinyurl.com/diggnationFBwidget.

“Revision3’s partnership with iWidgets provides another distribution channel for our quality content,” said Ron Richards, Senior Director of Marketing & Product Management, Revision3. “The Diggnation widget will offer our engaged and devoted fans the opportunity to share the Diggnation experience with their networks of friends, colleagues and classmates who appreciate similar experiences, exposing new and previously untapped audiences to a program that has become an Internet television phenomenon.”

“iWidgets is all about virally spreading great content to where people are spending their time,” said Peter Yared, CEO of iWidgets. “Revision3’s Diggnation has a rabid fan base and awesome content, and our platform gives Revision3 a new way to broaden their audience using a native Facebook widget. No other widget platform provides native and viral features, and we’re excited to showcase our technology with Revision3 and Diggnation.”

Viral applications from iWidgets also provide a unique revenue-generating opportunity for Revision3. The company can effectively monetize content within social sites through integrated advertising, pre-roll ads and brand sponsorships as part of their distribution to social sites.

With over 250,000 viewers per week, Diggnation is a weekly tech/Web culture show based on the top Digg social bookmarking news stories, featuring hosts Kevin Rose and Alex Albrecht. Episodes air every Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. ET at www.revision3.com/diggnation.

Diggnation on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon

March 11th, 2009 at 10:52 by Ron Richards in Shows

In case you missed it, Kevin Rose and Alex Albrecht of Diggnation appeared on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon on NBC last night. This isn’t the first time Jimmy Fallon and the Diggnation guys have teamed up, as Jimmy was on Diggnation a few weeks ago. But this time, Kevin and Alex were on Jimmy’s court, from his studio in 30 Rockefeller Center in New York City.

If you missed it, here’s the entire segment of Kevin and Alex on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon:

Watch it on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon’s site
Give Kevin and Alex’s appearance a Digg

All in all it was a great day for Diggnation. Not only were Kevin and Alex psyched to be on the show, but the Diggnation fans came and represented, as some were in line as early as 8 AM. Jimmy was nice enough to get the die-hard fans some breakfast:

We’d like to thank Jimmy Fallon and his entire, awesome team at Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and the folks at NBC for welcoming Diggnation onto their show and thanks to all of you, the loyal Diggnation fans who attended and watched at home.

thanks.

CNET Goes Behind The Scenes at Revision3

February 17th, 2009 at 09:01 by Ron Richards in Shows

Recently James Martin of CNET stopped by our offices and studio and took some photos of Revision3, behind the scenes. He also visited Kevin Rose’s apartment and took some photos of Diggnation being taped. Recently the photos along with some cool audio narration from Jim Louderback, David Prager, and Kevin Rose were posted over at CNET. If you’re curious about how we produce shows like The Digg Reel and Diggnation, then you definitely have to check out this audio slideshow. It’s a super cool combination of photos and the folks that make Revision3 tick talking about what we do.

thanks.
