— REVISION3 TECH NEWS AND REVIEWS PROGRAM TO TAPE ON APRIL 2 AT NEXT GENERATION WEB CONFERENCE IN SAN FRANCISCO —

San Francisco, CA – March 24, 2009 – Revision3 is teaming up with O’Reilly Media, Inc. and TechWeb at the third annual Web 2.0 Expo San Francisco to bring audiences a live episode of Tekzilla! Join Internet celebrities and tech gurus Veronica Belmont and Patrick Norton on Thursday, April 2 at 3:30 p.m. in the Level 3 Keynote Room, Moscone West, to experience the tech action firsthand.

The taping will be followed by a Tekzilla Meetup at the Expo Lounge, where exhibitors and fans alike can meet and mingle with Patrick and Veronica. In addition, Web 2.0 Expo will feature a “booth crawl” from 4:30 – 6:00 p.m. Attendees must have a conference or expo pass for admittance.

“Every week, Tekzilla reviews the latest gear, tips and tricks that improve the tech you already own – and features conversations with the most informative experts around. Web 2.0 Expo San Francisco is the perfect place to continue our on-going conversation with attendees and our overall audience – along with engaging the exhibitors that the program regularly covers,” said Jim Louderback, CEO, Revision3.

Web 2.0 Expo San Francisco centers on the idea of “the Power of Less,” exploring how the principles of Web 2.0 can turn constraints into opportunities. The conference will be held from March 31 – April 3, 2009 at Moscone West. To learn more about the 2009 Web 2.0 Expo San Francisco or register, visit: http://www.web2expo.com/sf.

“We’re excited to bring Tekzilla to Web 2.0 Expo for the first time,” said Brady Forrest, Co-Chair of Web 2.0 Expo. “Everyone at Web 2.0 Expo will get the chance to see one of their favorite Web shows live then meet the hosts, Patrick and Veronica, in person – a rare and great opportunity.”

Episodes of Tekzilla air every Thursday at 6:00 p.m. ET at www.revision3.com/tekzilla.

For a sneak peak, Veronica Belmont is participating at Web 2.0 Expo’s Ignite event the night of April 1 at Mezzanine in San Francisco.

Veronica Belmont
Veronica Belmont is a co-host of Revision3’s Tekzilla. She started her tech career as an audio producer for CNET’s Buzz Out Loud podcast and quickly became the third co-host. She went on to start two other shows at CNET: MP3 Insider and Crave and also produced many tech how-to videos and segments for CNET TV. Since then, Veronica has been a regular on many technology and gaming-themed podcasts, such as This Week in Tech, Cranky Geeks, DL.TV, The Instance and more. In the past year she hosted the popular web show Mahalo Daily, where she covered lots of geek-themed topics and events, including CES with Engadget and the Game Developers Conference with Joystiq. In her free time, Veronica hosts the Sword and Laser podcast and book club with CNET personality Tom Merritt, and also helps run one of the largest Warcraft guilds around, Alea Iacta Est, on the Earthen Ring server.

Patrick Norton
Patrick is the co-host of Revision3’s Tekzilla and Systm. He’s written hundreds of product reviews for publications including PCMag, CNET, PC World, CPU and TechTV, launched the online video and podcast group at Ziff Davis where he produced and hosted 188 episodes of DL.TV (and learned more about Flash dev, routing tables, Content Delivery Networks, compression tools, RSS feeds, log file analysis and traffic verification than he ever thought he’d need to know) and started using computers back in the late CP/M early DOS days. He’s best known for answering tough tech questions, skewering products and beating dead PCs with a sledgehammer for the four years at TechTV when he hosted a live daily television show called The Screen Savers.
