There’s nothing cooler than watching Revision3 shows on your TV. There are a lot of easy ways to do so (AppleTV, DiVX Connected Box etc.) but we know how many of you are avid gamers and have an XBox360 or a PlayStation3, so wouldn’t it be cool if you could use those devices to watch shows like Diggnation, Tekzilla or the Totally Rad Show on? Well now you can.
We’ve partnered with the fine people at GridNetworks to enable you to utilize your XBox360, PlayStation3 or any media device (that is UPnP enabled) to stream Diggnation, Tekzilla and the Totally Rad Show from your networked computer to your TV! It’s really easy, all you have to do is click over to the Revision3 on Gridcast TV page with all the information, install some software and then you’ll be all set!
We’re trying out this service to see if it’s something we want to use for all our shows, so please let us know what you think of it!

Happy New Year everyone! When we last spoke, I mentioned we had some great things planned for 2009 for Revision3.com and today we’re happy to present to your the first of many. It’s been wildly requested by our audience and insanely useful now that we have it in place: Search functionality for Revision3.com!
We’ve got some cutting edge technology in place that allows us to index both our site’s content as well as the content within the show’s episodes! So if you’re looking for that review of Crysis on The Totally Rad Show? Just type in “Crysis” in the search box on the top of the page, and boom! You get every mention of “Crysis” on our shows. You can filter by shows to find your exact result, and when you pick the episode you want. We’ve also indexed all of our forum content, so if you’re looking for something specific from a flame war a few months ago, now you can find it!
This is the first step of a greater build out of our search functionality, and as 2009 progresses, we’re going to be rolling out even more great functionality around this search engine, which will enhance the ability to find exactly the information you’re looking for within seconds! So check out our new search functionality today and let us know what you think!

It’s that time of year again! Time for the Podcast Awards, which are an audience based awards program for the best video and audio podcasts out there. With tons of categories, podcast audiences submitted nominations for their favorite shows and Revision3 is lucky enough to be nominated for several awards in multiple categories. The Penny Arcade Expo is becoming one of the fastest growing and exciting events for fans of video games. And there are no bigger fans of video games than Alex, Jeff and Dan of the Totally Rad Show here on Revision3. So in addition to all the great companies and video game developers and the great music lined up to appear at PAX 2008 (like Jonathan Coulton!), the Totally Rad Show will also be in attendance! The Totally Rad Show team will be down in Dallas this weekend to attend the Republic of Gamers Conference. At most gaming conventions the controllers spend more time in the hands of professionals rather than guys like you or me. Over the last decade the emergence of elite gamers has really helped to propell the industry to new heights but alienated the players who ultimately support the industry….This is not the case at ROGCon which is open to everyone and focused on creating a HUGE public LAN party where the public to decides which games are part of the competitions and compete to win computers and other big prizes. Beyond being able to play the games, all of the big dogs on the industry will be there showing off the latest hardware and software, much of which has not even hit the market yet. Best of all, registration is FREE!
The TRS team is really excited to headed down to an event that is focused on the gamer and what gamers are interested in most: actually getting to play video games. Big thanks to ASUS and Intel for putting on the event…..we hope to see you there!
