Wine Library TV Celebrates 500 Episodes - LIVE on July 10th in San Francisco!

July 9th, 2008 at 05:18 by David Prager in Live Events

Gary Vaynerchuk has reached many milestones since creating Wine Library TV. We’d like to think that one of them is becoming a part of the Revision3 family. More important than that though is his latest milestone: the epic and awesome accomplishment of reaching episode 500!

We are extremely excited to be able to bring this episode to you streaming live at Revision3.com/watch. The show will begin at 7pm Pacific (10pm Eastern), and the stream may go live several minutes before.

If you happen to be in the Bay Area - we invite you to come see the show live in person at Crushpad. It is a free event for all ages, but we appreciate your RSVP here: http://applications.crushpadwine.com/event/62.3

Crushpad is located at 2573 Third Street, San Francisco, CA

We respectfully encourage attendees to feel free to bring a bottle or some finger foods to nibble on. At the bottom of this message, please see the note from our good friends at Crushpad who have been so generous in hosting the event.

If you can’t join us in person, we hope you’ll join us live online at 7pm Pacific tomorrow at revision3.com/watch to celebrate and tape episode 500 of Wine Library TV!

Cheers!

David Prager

From Stuart Ake from Crushpad:

The event will run from 6pm until 10pm (pacific) with Episode Number 500 set to stream live at 7pm (pacific). We’re truly excited to be a part of this opportunity to meet/reunite with Gary and fellow Vayniacs over good wine and light bites.

What to bring?
While several outstanding small production wineries will be on hand to pour, we respectfully ask that you please bring finger foods and/or a bottle to share. It’s a good idea to put tape with your name on any serving utensils/plates you plan to bring home. If coming from out-of-town, you can pick up a variety of delicious finger foods at the Ferry Plaza. The Ferry Plaza is located at the Embarcadero near a T-Line stop.

As you know, the BYOB/snack component is an absolute highlight. At the Vayniac Barrel Sampling last December, the wines and food were outstanding and thoughtfully chosen. If you are bringing a white wine or rosé, let us know upon your arrival so we can get the bottle chilled. We’ll also have several tables set up for you to place red wines. (In addition to some stinky cheeses, I’m planning to bring a Russian River Pinot and an Austrian Gruner I’ve been wanting to check out).

Help out?
As you know, we’re expecting a large turnout on Thursday. If you are interested in helping at the event for a hour, we’d love your assistance! Simply email me and I’d be happy to provide details. We’ll organize your time so you know what to expect and who to check in with when you arrive.

Smart & Safe
I highly recommend taking public transportation on Thursday. Muni’s T-Linestops a 1/2 block from Crushpad at the corner of 23rd Street and 3rd Street. If you are coming up from the South Bay, we’re just 3 blocks from the 22nd Street Station on CALtrans. Super easy! If you choose to drive, there are more parking spaces available behind the building on Illinois Street. If entering from the Illinois side, simply walk across the winery floor to sign in at the entrance.

Where to bring?
CRUSHPAD
2573 Third Street (between 22nd and 23rd Streets)
San Francisco, 415-864-4232

If you can’t make it, please let me know so we can plan accordingly.
Questions? Don’t hesitate to give me a call or email. I’ll see you on Thursday at 6pm (pacific)!

Thanks,
Stuart Ake

Wine Library Brings Thunder to Revision3

June 23rd, 2008 at 09:09 by Jim Louderback in Announcements, Shows

When it comes to wine expertise, no one has more experience, understanding and charisma than Gary Vaynerchuk. He’s clearly the internet’s wine steward, guide and host.

Over the past year, he’s built legions of “Vayniacs”, fans who just can’t get enough of his wine video program Wine Library TV. Every day Gary provides an approachable, energetic and enthusiastic review of 2-3 wines, as he “sniffy-sniffs”, tastes and rates the world’s fermented berry juice.

Don’t think pretentious, though. He’ll never discuss a wine’s bouquet, or use high-falutin’ words that mean nothing. Instead, Wine Library TV is dedicated to dropping the veils of mystery from what ought to be a pleasant, affordable and wonderful accent to life’s meals, gatherings and every-day occasions.

As a clear internet expert, it’s only natural that Wine Library and Revision3 hook up. Gary’s clearly a wine geek, and he’s dedicated to turning everyone else into a passionate wine fan – and shaking up the establishment along the way. And that’s what we do here at Revision3: shake up the established order while helping our viewers expand their passions.

So today we’re pleased to bring Wine Library TV into Revision3. You can watch and subscribe to the program here. But there’s more than just brining the show to you. We’ve added a new twist. Although Wine Library TV is an amazingly fun show to watch, at 15-20 minutes a day it really requires a substantial level of commitment to watch every single episode. I’m a huge fan, and I only manage to watch a few each week.

So for those of you new to Wine Library TV (and those of you like me, with super-short attention spans), we’re proud to announce Wine Library Reserve. With this new program we’ve summarized, and edited a 15-20 minute program down to its essence, to its core, and extracted the best of the best in five minutes or less.

Want a taste of what the Wine Library experience is all about? Try Wine Library Reserve. You’ll be hooked! Then, if something really intrigues you, watch the whole episode.

Because (as Gary says at the end of every episode), you, with a little help from me (Gary) – and now us at Revision3 – are changing the wine world.

Welcome to the revolution. Not only will it be televised, but chances are Gary will find the perfect wine to go along with it.
