Scott Pilgrim: The Game!
Wednesday, August 18th, 2010 running time 12:10
Scott Pilgrim, Time Travel, and Anthony dressed like a grown-up. This week is weeeeeeird.
Segments
We're checking out the (for now) PS3-only Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game, seeing what favorite childhood games don't hold up over time, and witnessing Anthony emerge from the cocoon of boyhood and become a man. Sort of.
RADAR: SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD: THE GAME
Beat-'Em-Up, PS3, Ubisoft, $15
So - I'm going to spend the next couple minutes talking about Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game. I mean, why not? We're all planning on getting it anyway, but humor me for a moment - it's the only thing I wanted to play this week and I didn't want to split my time between it and anything else. I've got to say, it pretty much lives up to expectations - we're looking at a solid, entertaining beat-em-up with amazing art by Paul Robertson and music by Anamanaguchi. Just like Scott Pilgrim himself, the game's got a couple rough edges, but it's just so damn charming you don't really care.

Far too many people do not understand that alcohol, drugs, and driving DO NOT MIX. The message is simple guys: Drinking and Driving? Over the Limit? Under Arrest‚ don't put yourself or others in danger. Law enforcement officials will be out in force all over the country from August 25th through September 6th, cracking down on drunk drivers. Beyond putting your life at risk, you could cost yourself a bundle of time and money: jail time, the loss of your driver's license, higher insurance rates, and dozens of other unanticipated expenses from attorney fees, other fines and court costs, car towing and repairs, lost time at work, etc. The worst/best part of drinking and driving is that it can be avoided so easily. You can still go out and have fun, just plan ahead: if you are going to drink, designate a driver, call a taxi, use mass transit, or find some kind of sober ride program.
