With all the recent happenings in the franchise, Konami has updated MetalGearSolid.com to give the francise a unified presence. They say that the new site is interactive, and features the newest trailers and video features, as well as updates and pre-order links. (Dale North)
Tonight, the Spike Video Game Awards ceremony was broadcast live, packed full of new trailers, game announcements and wretched, pandering humor. We caught the intriguing trailer for The Last of Us. We watched Miyamoto smile as The Legend of Zelda was inducted into the Video Game Hall of Fame. And we cried a little bit every time Felicia Day or Zachary Levi had to perform some humiliating monkey dance, clearly demonstrating how much class we're expected to have as gamers. This was an amazing year for videogames. So amazing, in fact, that it was really hard to pick the nominees for Destructoid Game of the Year. There were so many good games released in 2011 across different genres and platforms, that we almost just nominated all of them. (Chad Concelmo)
