It's our 300th episode! To celebrate, Max & Tara opened a bottle of bubbly and got down and dirty! ...with video game news, of course. Today, we got a glimpse of God of War: Ascension's new multiplayer, a first look at Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, trailers for Diablo III AND Metal Gear Rising Revengeance and more!
Episode 300 of the Destructoid Show:
Konami has just released a 30 second teaser video for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance entitled, "Make It Right." The cryptic video features a man in a chair being experimented upon as well as what appears to be torture culminating in execution. It's a pretty intense little clip which promises more information will be revealed on April 30th at the Metal Gear Rising website. (Conrad Zimmerman)
It's painful to think about all the times we thought we knew Diablo III's fabled release date only for it to not pan out. This television spot for the game means it really is going to come out. On May 15, no less -- a date that's just within reach. We're ready. (Jordan Devore)
Sumo Digital has put a lot of care into making this game its own great experience, even going as far as building the engine from the ground up, as well as implementing their own physics into the gameplay. Transformed plus liquor is a combination that's bound to be worthy of a friendly, split-screen gathering ... err, I mean "fun for the whole family." (Ryan Perez)
That's right, kids. Mr. Destructoid has arrived in Super Monday Night Combat! We've teamed up with the bacon-loving maniacs at Uber Entertainment to give the game a sexplosion the only way Destructoid can. The Mr. Destructoid Uniform is a special outfit for Karl, the robot pro who thinks he's a human. To get the uniform, just head on over to our redeem page and claim your code. We're giving away 25,000 of the Mr. Destructoid Uniforms and this is the only way you can get the outfit! (Hamza Aziz)
Ascension is a prequel to the God of War trilogy, and it will focus on a single-player campaign, but Sony Santa Monica managed to steer clear of any details at the debut press event last week, instead focusing on the multiplayer side of the game. Well, after a bit of confusion, that is. (Dale North)
