Happy Monday! Max and Tara are back from the weekend with a cornucopia of news, including a filthy tease from Bethesda's Twitter account, details on The Witcher 2 Enhanced Edition and a Super Mario Bros sequel for Wii U, a trailer for Pokemon Black/White 2, and more!
Episode 294 of the Destructoid Show:
All of the existing changes, as well as new changes, new content, and graphical tweaks, are part of the package in The Witcher 2: Enhanced Edition for Xbox 360, and as a whopping 11 GB update for PC owners of The Witcher 2. Can such a PC favorite fare well on the controller-focused and aging console hardware? And what is so enhanced about this new version? (Maurice Tan)
Capcom has confirmed a demo release on Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network for April 24 for North America, with Europe getting theirs on PSN the next day, April 25. The demo gives you a party of three Pawns and a choice of two different character classes: Fighter and Strider. If you dig the character you've created for either class, you'll be able to import them into the full game at release. (Dale North)
Following last week's leaks, Electronic Arts has had no choice but to spill the beans and announce Crysis 3, revealing its 2013 release projection and limited edition plans. (Jim Sterling)
The Pokemon series has a long history of repackaging old content in profitable ways. At its core, Pokemon Yellow was an "old" game, but it came with enough new features that a lot of fans considered it an essential purchase. While that title was more of a director's cut of Pokemon Red/Blue, the latest "new" Pokemon game is claiming to be a full-on sequel. From the looks of it, the game will make good on that claim in a lot for key areas. It has two new leads, a new story, new supporting characters, and all new areas to explore. For most franchises, that would be enough. (Jonathan Holmes)
