Friday, April 27th, 2012 – running time 29:20

If you didn't catch today's live show, it was JAM-PACKED with breaking news! Black Ops 2 got a not-so-official reveal, Skyrim DLC might have crossbows and Snow Elves, The Walking Dead game is surprisingly not terrible, and PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale is a thing that's happening!

Episode 299 of the Destructoid Show:

Patch Files Hint at Crossbows and Snow Elves in Skyrim DLC

Downloadable content for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, you say? I haven't even completed the main quest, yet! A user on the Bethesda forums scanned through files in patch 1.5.26 and came across a few interesting tidbits that seem to tease what lies ahead for the game. File names make reference to Snow Elves, the Snow Elf Prince, crossbows (!!!), and new feeding animations for vampires. (Jordan Devore)

Rayman Legends Coming to Wii U

Ubisoft has been trying to kill a leaked trailer all morning, but it's not working. The cat is out of the bag, since the world now knows that Rayman Legends is coming to Wii U. It'll have new playable characters, online play, and "social" aspect. The video shows off plenty of gameplay, all of which looks like tons of fun. (Jim Sterling)

Hands-on Preview of Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale

Sony has been working on a mashup fighting game that pits many of their first-party characters against each other in a Smash Bros. style four-player match. This brawler was shown off for the first time earlier this week at a PlayStation press event, where I got to mash buttons playing as Kratos, Parappa the Rapper, Sly Cooper and others. They call it PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, and it's going to be a pretty big deal. (Dale North)

Review: The Walking Dead: A New Day

The Walking Dead is just the latest franchise to get the adventure treatment from Telltale Games. The studio has dabbled with several IPs from TV and cinema, to mixed effect. The much lauded comic series has already spawned a television show filled with all the talking and pensive staring you could want. Instead of treading over the same ground, Telltale is spinning a different yarn, while still ensuring it remains connected to the source material by including some of the same locations and characters.
