http://www.destructoid.com/assassin-s-creed-multiplayer-beta-kicks-off-this-weekend-210414.phtml Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood's beta last fall sold me on the idea of multiplayer in the series. It was short-lived as I sank back into old multiplayer standbys, but it was great as a proof of concept. The common theme with Assassin's Creed games is that each entry is bigger and more bombastic; Revelations looks to continue that trend with nine new assassins, three maps, four game modes, and (hopefully) plenty of bomb-action. (Liam Fisher)
http://www.destructoid.com/read-this-dead-island-comic-book-in-your-browser-now-210371.phtml You'll have to wait a week before you explore the zombie-infested tropical paradise of Dead Island. But get a head start on the tale of a zombie virus that completely and totally messes s**t up by reading prequel comic book for free! (Nick Chester)
http://www.destructoid.com/team-bondi-closes-its-doors-and-enters-administration-210355.phtmlThe Sydney-based developer of L.A. Noire hasn't had the best of times since its 1940s-era crime epic was released in May. Despite strong sales and positive reviews, Team Bondi's troubles extended to employees' lack of proper game credit and apparently sub-par working conditions. The L.A. Noire intellectual property, along with all the assets, was then sold to Sydney firm Kennedy Miller Mitchell. (David Rayfield)
http://www.destructoid.com/hands-on-warhammer-40-000-space-marine-exterminatus--210455.phtml Last night, THQ announced a new co-op mode for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine. Exterminatus pits a squad of four Space Marines against increasingly intense waves of screaming Orks on a variety of maps. It's scheduled to arrive -- for free -- thirty days after the game launches, which is ... strange, to say the least. (Jim Sterling)
http://www.destructoid.com/review-jetpack-joyride-210401.phtml With so many "runner" games on iOS, another one is certainly a hard sell. But there's a reason these games are so popular. It's a simple concept -- a character moves continuously from left to right at an ever-increasing speed, the player's goal to jump, slide, or whatever to avoid obstacles. The goal: get as far as possible. (Nick Chester)
http://www.destructoid.com/the-serious-sam-3-bfe-helpline-for-f-cking-pussies--210453.phtml Croteam cares about you, and wants everybody to have fun with Serious Sam 3: BFE. In the spirit of open-mindedness, it has employed Rich Knuckles as a caring helpline operative, aiding the new generation of FPS gamers as they acclimatize to Serious Sam's old school sensibilities. (Jim Sterling)
http://www.destructoid.com/skyrim-will-not-fix-bugs-if-they-re-fun-210386.phtml Some glitches can ruin a game, but others can make them infinitely more fun. Red Dead Redemption was loved for its variety of silly bugs, and Bethesda has promised that any entertaining screw-ups found in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will stay. Yes, a studio just pledged not to fix something! (Jim Sterling)
http://www.destructoid.com/recap-of-modern-warfare-3-news-from-call-of-duty-xp-210486.phtml After today's overflow of Modern Warfare 3 information, I'm starting to wish I were still into the series' competitive scene. Apologies for dropping so many separate posts on you simultaneously, but that's the wacky world of game blogging for you. (Plus, you guys totally wouldn't have read one really long post. We're on to you.) (Jordan Devore)
