The rumors appear to be true: Nintendo 3DS is getting a redesign, or at least another analog stick, in the form of a clunky accessory. Plus, Dead Island PC edition had a bit of a screw up, Arkham City's emo soundtrack has been announced, and Devil May Cry tosses another "collection" on the pile.

http://www.destructoid.com/2nd-analog-nub-and-monster-hunter-tri-3g-coming-to-3ds-210760.phtml It's this nub that already has fans, still watching and waiting for confirmation of this rumor, ready to freak out. The attachment is rumored to also include a trigger, and will sit next to the 3DS's X, Y, A, and B buttons. If this rumor is true, it would make those other rumors of a dual-analog 3DS redesign all the more plausable. (Jonathan Holmes)
http://www.destructoid.com/new-lumines-and-other-games-confirmed-for-ps-vita-210800.phtml Following the info dump from Famitsu about the analog nub cradle for 3DS, the publication has listed more games coming to PlayStation Vita in Japan. With Tokyo Game Show less than two weeks away, we'll be hearing more about these titles soon enough. (Jordan Devore)
http://www.destructoid.com/pc-release-of-dead-island-is-console-dev-port-update--210708.phtml[Update: Techland is claiming that the full retail version of the game is going up on Steam today (thanks, Aurvant). Only those who downloaded the game early have gotten the dev version, which one can assume will be overwritten this morning. Doesn't help that the authentication processes and servers were revealed by this unplanned release, either. Smooth move!] (Jim Sterling)
http://www.destructoid.com/esrb-basically-confirms-devil-may-cry-hd-collection-210777.phtml The Entertainment Software Ratings Board has recently rated the Devil May Cry PS2 games for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, ostensibly confirming prior rumors that Capcom was releasing a DMC HD collection. With it being the series' tenth anniversary this year, it looks like the perfect release. (Jim Sterling)
http://www.destructoid.com/rocksteady-talks-new-game-plus-in-batman-arkham-city-210808.phtml With so many "runner" games on iOS, another one is certainly a hard sell. But there's a reason these games are so popular. It's a simple concept -- a character moves continuously from left to right at an ever-increasing speed, the player's goal to jump, slide, or whatever to avoid obstacles. The goal: get as far as possible. (Nick Chester)
http://www.destructoid.com/batman-arkham-city-ost-announced-210746.phtml The Batman: Arkham City OST has been announced and will feature scores from artists including Panic! At the Disco, Daughtry, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and Coheed and Cambria to name just a few. The soundtrack will be out October 4th, two weeks before the game. If you are getting the collectors edition of Arkham City, a download code for the soundtrack will automatically be included. (Victoria Medina)
