Today we've got a leaked screenshot for what *looks like* a Prince of Persia reboot, US pre-order bonuses for Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, and some hints about Valve's Source 2 engine buried within their Source Filmmaker code!
Happy Monday! Today we've got a leaked screenshot for what *looks like* a Prince of Persia reboot, US pre-order bonuses for Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, and some hints about Valve's Source 2 engine buried within their Source Filmmaker code! Also, creepy masks are CONFIRMED in Dishonored, and FTW is here to consolidate your gamertags!
Episode 343 of the Destructoid Show:
Get a good look at this supposed leaked screenshot of a Prince of Persia reboot, first posted on the Prince of Persia forums. The folks at NeoGAF point out that the screen is labeled "POP_ZERO_2," and Joystiq reminds that a former art director used this same name in an interview with CVG awhile back. (Dale North)
We got hold of some new images for the upcoming Dishonored, including some rather disturbing ones from the Lady Boyle mission I recently previewed. That baby mask is really something. I'm glad I didn't come across it during my playthrough, in fear of shouting in public. (Allistair Pinsof)
Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch is coming out on January 22, 2013 for the PlayStation 3. For those of you who are somehow still on the fence about picking this one up, Namco has revealed the pre-order bonuses from GameStop and Amazon. If you pre-order from GameStop (US or Canadian stores), you'll be given an exclusive SteelBook case with alternate artwork. That's neat, I guess, but doesn't compare to the Amazon pre-order where you'll get the exclusive Griffy familiar, seen in the image above. (Hamza Aziz)
Deep in the code of Valve's Source Filmmaker software, references to what may be the company's next-generation game engine are made. The folks at Valvetime spotted multiple references to something called the "Source 2 engine," and other hints, such as icons (pictured above) were also uncovered. (Dale North)
