Happy Monday, folks! Today, Max & Tara have two bloodthirsty new trailers for Far Cry 3 and Aliens: Colonial Marines to show off, along with a leaked photo of the Wii U tablet and news of a crossover between Left 4 Dead and Payday: The Heist. Also, Dragon's Dogma is finally out tomorrow and Max shares his impressions!
Episode 309 of the Destructoid Show:
E3 is just a few weeks away. Everything that is going to be at the show already exists somewhere, right at this very moment. It's just a matter of time before we see it all. It looks like one surprise of the show may have leaked early. From the looks of it, the Wii U controller has gone through a few changes since last year. The first thing that jumps out at you is those analog sticks. You nub-haters out there must be pretty psyched. (Jonathan Holmes)
Valve is working with Overkill Software to make an official crossover, which sounds... pretty cool in my book. "We are excited to be able to confirm that an in-depth collaboration between OVERKILL and Valve is currently in production," said game director Ulf Andersson. "We are working on a very cool blend of PAYDAY and Left 4 Dead." (Jim Sterling)
In Space, no one can hear you scream, presumably because everybody's too busy screaming to listen. A new trailer for Aliens: Colonial Marines has arrived, going hand in hand with today's announcement of a February 2013 release date. There is a lot of screaming. (Jim Sterling)
A new video of Far Cry 3 surfaced on GameTrailers yesterday, complete with action-movie white knight antics. Of course, wouldn't you know it, with the building on fire and on the verge of collapse Jason Brody frees his girlfriend and escapes just in the nick of time. Cue massive explosion as the two ride off into the sunset. (Kyle MacGregor)
Although few paid attention to it at first, the game has drawn more eyes as more content was revealed, and with good reason. Dragon's Dogma is an exhilarating, if sometimes problematic, adventure. There's a lot to love in this beast-slaying romp, although sometimes you have to look very hard to find it. (Jim Sterling)
