This latest installment from Maxis should be out next year, according to the publication. It sounds as if the new engine used for Sim City 5 is going to be one of the big selling points, but the graphics are not quite there yet, hence the lack of in-game screenshots thus far. Their vision was to use the one-shot comic Gotham by Gaslight as the source material. Set at the end of the 19th century, Gotham by Gaslight follows the Dark Knight as he tracks down Jack the Ripper. Concept art for the game revealed Gotham by Gaslight's steampunk vibe. (Siliconera)

The site plays music, has a few images, and bears a quote from Alaundo, but the stuff hidden in the source code brings the most interest. (Jim Sterling)

The game's aesthetic and design both pay homage to the original Legend of Zelda, which is just the start of why the game would have been a perfect fit for the 3DS eShop. Sadly, it looks like the game's "blasphemous" themes are not something that Nintendo will allow on their handheld. (Jonathan Holmes)
