Fat Mega Man Hates Zynga's Blatant Copying! Plus Ace Attorney 5, Monster Hunter Vita, and Secret Square Enix!

Monday, January 30th, 2012 – running time 12:34

Remember last week when social gaming behemoth Zynga got busted for ripping off an indie iOS title? Well, it happened again.

Remember last week when social gaming behemoth Zynga got busted for ripping off an indie iOS title? Well, it happened again. We've got some good news too: Capcom is putting Pac-Man and ugly Mega Man in Street Fighter X Tekken, Ace Attorney 5 is a thing, Monster Hunter is coming to the PS Vita, Square Enix is working on some secret projects, and -- WHOA COOL! New Metal Gear Solid toys!

Zynga Accused of Copying Another Game, Again

Last week the internet gave Zynga sh*t for biting a bit too much off Tiny Towers for their new game Dream Heights. As you'd imagine, NimbleBit, a three-person company, was not pleased to see that the social gaming monster had stolen from them. Keep in mind that Zynga had previously tried to buy up NimbleBit. Shameless! (Dale North)

Pac-Man and Mega Man Team Up in Street Fighter X Tekken!

Previously hinted at company mascots Pac-Man and Mega Man have been confirmed as PS3/PSV exclusive characters for Street Fighter X Tekken, joining Cole from inFamous, and Sony Japan mascots Toro and Kuro. Unless the 360 version of the game gets an all star group like The Prince of all Cosmos, Linn Kurasawa, Alan Wake, and Ilo and Milo as its own exclusive characters, then there is no way it's going to be able to compete (at least not for my money). Seeing as the game is coming out really soon, chances are slim that the 360 versions will be getting any exclusives at all. Microsoft has got to be feeling pretty hosed right about now! Ace Attorney 5 is Happening

Technically, only Gyakuten Saiban 5 has been announced with no word on an international release. Capcom kept Ace Attorney Investigations 2 from us; those butts in Japan better not hold out on us again. No platform has been announced, but I'm going to take a wild guess and say it will be on 3DS. Sony Exec Says Monster Hunter Vita Scheduled for This Year

A Sony official has declared that a Monster Hunter Vita title is set to arrive some time this year, seeming to confirm the game ahead of any official announcement. He said this in response to the Vita's slow Japanese sales, claiming Monster Hunter at launch would've made it more successful. (Jim Sterling)

Square Enix Team Working on an Unannounced Title

Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts producer Tetsuya Nomura told Famitsu that we could see a new Square Enix title later this year. In an interview wrap-up, Nomura teased: "There is also a secret team working on an unannounced title, so there is a chance that some information about that will be announced this year too, please continue looking forward to these announcements." Metal Gear Solid Toys WEEEEEE

Square Enix's Play Arts Kai line is about to get two new action figures based on Metal Gear Solid. First up is "Mr. President" himself, Solidus Snake, and he's looking pretty pimp unpainted. I don't think I'd even want him to be painted, he's looking so good. (Tony Ponce)

Destructoid LIVE is Happening in SF Next Friday!

It seems like only a year ago we were stumbling over our words and wiping the sweat off our palms in preparation for our very first live Destructoid Show... and now, almost exactly a year later, we'll be hosting our first ever taping in front of a LIVE audience. Just typing that word brings a bead of sweat to my neck. (Tara Long)
