Sony has announced that the multiplayer component of Killzone 3 will go free, available on PSN as a standalone download. All the maps will be playable, but player progress will cease after they reach a certain level. So, it's like a super-demo. If players want to continue, they can toss $14.99 Sony's way to unlock the full online experience without having to purchase the full game. (Jim Sterling)
Electronic Arts has been known to pull some pretty ridiculous marketing stunts in its time, whether it's causing traffic disasters or protesting its own titles. Mass Effect 3, however, may have just won the prize for the stupidest promo campaign of all time. It wants to pressure the UK government for proof of aliens. BioWare is asking for 10,000 signatures to force the government to "release information about UFOs and extra-terrestrial life." (Jim Sterling)

Official Xbox Magazine has details on the new installment of Medal of Honor in development at Danger Close. Interestingly enough, DICE won't be handling the multiplayer component this time -- it's being done in-studio. On a less surprising note, the game will use Frostbite 2.0 and revolve around Tier 1 Operators. (Jordan Devore)
Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City has been slated for May 18, 2012. This version will have all the same features as the console versions, including eight person online versus battle mode and four person campaign co-op. The Xbox 360 and PS3 versions are still due on March 20, 2012 in North America. Capcom has also confirmed NVIDIA 3D Vision support on Operation Raccoon City for PC. (Holly Green)
