Happy Monday folks! We're back with news about South Park's intriguing RPG, a new teaser trailer for The Last of Us, a quick preview of Xbox's imminent dashboard update, and the winner of our Astro A40's contest! Let's get to it. This is episode 239 of the Destructoid Show.

The Releases of the Week

It's a calm week with the only major release being Mario Kart 7 for the 3DS. Battlefield 3 gets its first downloadable pack with Back to Karkand on the PS3 and then there's Fortune Street. It's like Mario Party, except it features Dragon Quest characters too.

New South Park RPG Sounds... Awesome?

Like a real RPG, the main character in South Park will be a silent protagonist, and will be chosen and fully customized by the player from one of five classes (Adventurer, Rogue, Paladan, Wizard, or a fifth class made up by Cartman.). That character will deal with enemy encounters that are visible on a map, and will be brought to battles that are said to be a lot like the Paper Mario games, meaning that timed button presses will bring about hit bonuses. PS3 Exclusive The Last of Us teased

Xbox Update Hits Tomorrow, Tons of Content Coming

The Xbox 360 update that will bring a massive heap of television entertainment options to the system goes live tomorrow. Soon, on-demand TV programs, movies, videos, sports, newscasts and music will be available on your Xbox 360, and easily accessible via Kinect voice commands. Along with that comes all kinds of web video. With 57 million people already using Xbox 360 systems, I predict that this awesome update will cause American obesity to increase. Bring the fat, Microsoft! (Dale North)
