On today's Funday Monday show, we've got the dirt on Steam's Big Picture mode, details about MGS Ground Zeroes' day/night cycles and loading screens, and some boobalicious new gameplay from Dead or Alive 5! Also, Bethesda is STILL trying to get Dawnguard on PS3, and EA wants you to kill Osama Bin Laden. For charity.
Episode 361 of the Destructoid Show:
This morning, just before his food tweet of a beautiful bowl of katsudon, he tweeted out an awesome screenshot of Raiden, taken straight off the screen of a Metal Gear Solid: Rising Tokyo Game Show demo he's working on for next week. And then, like a proud papa, he sent out a close-up. You can get a better look at both in our gallery. (Dale North)
Sony Pictures Entertainment and Electronic Arts have come together for a promotion that will result in a minimum donation of $1 million to charities benefitting veterans. In promotion of both upcoming film Zero Dark Thirty, and game Medal of Honor Warfighter, they've formed the Medal of Honor Warfighter Zero Dark Thirty Map Pack. (Dale North)
Sony has declared that it's rolling up its sleeves and getting stuck in with Bethesda to ensure PS3 users eventually get access to Skyrim's downloadable expansion, Dawnguard. The announcement comes after Bethesda cast doubt on the idea of ever getting it working. (Jim Sterling)
Today's debut of the Big Picture has us all ready to play Steam games on your televisions. I already do that, but this new mode will make my big-screen gaming life much easier with its new interface with its optimizations for readability. This is a reformatting only, with all of your friends, content and library still there. (Dale North)
