The Onion's first TV show is a spoof of the cable news networks (without, it seems, the burning Howard Beale-style indignation of Jon Stewart). The Onion team has produced daily Web video parodies for three years now. In addition to Onion News Network, the news parody franchise also has a Comedy Central series, The Onion SportsDome, coming the same month.
