Tuesday, June 1st, 2010 running time 38:37
Coming to you from Hippie Glenn's place, it's Tea Time with Kevin & Alex! The guys join together to discuss the worst thing about Transformers 3 - NO Megan Fox, how a ninja saved a medical student's life, LifeLock's CEO's public display of his SSN, the 9 worst beers in America, and the future of television is here! Dear Google TV, I love you.
Segments
Michael Bay's Revenge: NO MEGAN FOX for Transformers 3!
The only good thing about that movie and he takes it away? Damn you, Michael Bay. Well, that's what you get for talking back to the Bay-Dawg. Even though the movies sucked, Megan Fox wouldn't be who she is today without them. Alex explains why, referring to the infamous Jar Jar Binks Effect.

Ninjas Rescue Student From Muggers
No, this is not Beverly Hills Ninja 2. This shit happened. Ninjas scared off 3 thugs who had the misfortune to attack a medical student outside of the Ninja Warrior Academy. For real. According to news.com.au (legit), "The German exchange student had been targeted by the men while he was riding the late-night train home, The Sydney Morning Herald reported. They demanded he give them his wallet but when he refused and got off the train, they followed. They pounced as he made his way through a dark alley in Sydney's west. They grabbed his phone and iPod and kicked him while he lay on the ground. However, the men were spotted by a member of a nearby dojo." Boo-yah! Hats off to the ninjas, ya know? Just helping folk out. Also, Kevin calls bullshit.

LifeLock CEO's Identity Stolen 13 Times
Apparently, when you publish your Social Security number prominently on your website and billboards, people take it as an invitation to steal your identity. Who knew?! From a marketing standpoint, that's pretty great... right? Nope, still dumb. Unrelated: why do we even need snail mail? Other than a sending some pimp ass love notes, mail is so lame.

Yeah it was an alright show, nothing special :)
Regarding web browsing on TV they are right, If you've ever tried plugging your mac or pc into a big hdtv it's just not comfortable. The Icons are way too small, and you can tell that the OS was never designed for use in such a way. Once the novelty of wow look at my fu***** huge 42" monitor wears off you just never plug it in again (unless you use something like boxee)
I think if google are going to incorporate a web browsing feature it needs to be really simplified and have big fat icons to compensate for the distance between you and the TV.
Saying that, I'm sure google already know about this issue. :)
The ipad is a great example of how a familiar interface (such as youtube and tweetdeck) can be adapted to ensure an optimum user experience on a specific screen size.

I can't wait for googletv to come out just to see if it is really the thing that is going to change TV. There have been a lot of products that connect the internet to your TV and none of them have taken off. Could google be the one that makes it work? I guess we will see. Either way the future of Tv is going to be very interesting over the next 5 years.
