Diggnation this week comes to you with the help of a few tequila sunrises (sans the grenadine) and a lovely photograph of Jennifer Aniston. The guys delve into the top dugg stories including Apple's iPhone screen-protector ban, what a quad-core CPU is REALLY for, a Lion King toy's pervy fail, why a salad costs more than a Big Mac, and news on Google: a new approach to China and who says, "f*ck the analytics!"

Apple Banning Screen Protectors in Retail Stores

iLounge and Macworld are reporting that Apple has banned the sale of film-based screen protectors for its iPhone, iPod, and Mac lines in its retail stores. But why? Alex, a film protector owner; while Kevin, a raw iPhone owner thinks Apple doesn't want to imply that their perfect devices need some sort of protecting. The guys take some time to debate the necessity of protecting their iPhone screens. Bottom line: to each his own. If you want to protect it, you will.

No, THIS is What You Need a Quad-Core CPU For [Pic]

Seriously, multitasking for computers now, and computers recently made, should be a no-brainer. Kevin admits to buying new technology just because it's f'ing cool, and because he can. Word.

Official Google Blog: A New Approach to China

On January 12th, Google announced that they had been attacked by China. After discovering a major security breach from hackers in China that sought to steal info on Chinese and international human rights activists, Google says it will stop self-censoring Google.cn content in Chinese Google searches. Too bad the realization comes after they supported the Communist Party's censorship for years. This is a big deal - Google says, "The decision to review our business operations in China has been incredibly hard, and we know that it will have potentially far-reaching consequences."

F*ck Google Analytics [Pic]

This note was posted outside of a bar once the guys returned back from Austin. Said note read, "Once we hit capacity it will be a one-in/one-out situation. I don't care how many hits your shitty blog gets a month. Fuck Google analytics. And besides, bloggers aren't real writers. Sorry. I just don't respect you." The days of name-dropping are apparently over; so, bloggers: Google-Analytics-stat-drop no more, please.

Why Does a Salad Cost More than a Big Mac?

Why does a salad cost more than a Big Mac? Part of the reason is that a huge proportion of our food subsidies go to meat while only 0.37 percent go to fruits and vegetables. Good job, government. Also, guys, please watch Food, Inc. and send Kevin an @ reply with what you thought.
