This show is so crazy and random that it reminds me of the old cartoon Ren and Stimpy. Only in that show would they have something like a purple triangle yelling "Obey Me!".

By putting salt in with the ice, they make the ice melt faster and decrease the temperature of the solution as well.

Water freezes at 0 degrees Celsius, and salt makes that freezing point lower, so it makes for colder water essentially.

That's how the made ice cream before refrigeration. It's also how the make ice melt by salting the roads.
