Didn't know about this until this post and my sister saying Star Wars Family Guy (WTF?). That was funny as hell and the robot chicken reference at the end was hilarious. I really need to get a DVR or TV Tuner. Missing a lot on TV.

It's been a bit since I've watched Family Guy, but managed to catch this one. Thought it was good

I actually didn't think it got funny till Peter showed up and then it really picked up for the rest of the show.
That couch bit...man...funny because its true right?

Yea, that was funny. It really did pick up after that although the orchestra bit was pretty funny.

I enjoyed it greatly, but RobotChicken definitely did it better.

Doctor Who reference FTW
And whoever said its not funny just expects too much from everything and needs to gain some more perspective. It's just the trend right now to hate Family Guy.

isnt that what brought it back?Yes but the nerd trend now is to think "FG hasn't been any good since it returned. It was funnier before it got canceled."
Which is retarded because the first season of Family Guy, much like the first 2-3 seasons of Simpsons...sucks.
The first season of FG was just completely average before the writers went, "You know what, we're just gonna start writing whatever the **** we want, nobody watches this show anyway".
I mean, you can argue how good the show is right now, but if you don't think it's still better than season one your just completely corrupted by nostalgia.

I totally agree...the show was good by the time it got canceled...plus, just like in the Simpsons the voices are horrible in the first part of the series...It's very funny and very good now that it has come back...The Star Wars episode had a few laughs, but I feel that it was an homage episode more than satire so it was hard for them to make it as funny as it could be.

I totally agree.
George Lucas was also sort of "in" on the planning of this episode and he gave Seth his personal blessings, so to speak, on this episode. Seth loves Star Wars, so this was his homage.

Actually this is what I just read was in reference to Seth and the Robot Chicken episode, written in Wired. Apparently Lucas saw the Palapatine sketch on youtube where Darth calls him on the phone about the Death Star blowing up. He really dug it and got onboard for a special. Even did the voice for the bit where Lucas shows up in a skit.

Agreed. I really loved that they didn't just use the Time Vortex, but they used the season 12 intro. When Tom Baker's head appered I about died.

I've yet to see it (not a TV Guy), but I'll probably catch it on youtube later. Also it makes me sad no one here commented on the "Blue harvest" sub title. I expected at least someone here to catch that.

I just read an article (http://www.tvweek.com/blogs/james-hibberd/2007/09/family_guy_producers_may_take.php) that said it could become a tradition for Family Guy to do a Star Wars episode. Sorta like Tree house of Horror on the Simpsons. So maybe Empire Strike Back next season? I thought this episode was pretty funny so I'd be down to see the other two, or all six?

The Robot Chicken reference at the end was very good. And the whole episode was pretty decent. I've got the point South Park is my favorite of the animated 'adult' shows. But this was worth seeing for sure.

Agree, I think I laughed a bit more then that. For the most part ... All the jokes and gags were either done before and/or done better. Robot Chicken did do it better. The joke at the end about the Robot Chicken SW show was funny and, good for Seth Green to promote his show.

Also. . . I must say all of the shot for shot scenes were great and, very well done!
