While not geeky in the least, I thought I'd share this with you all. I woke up from a nightmare last night and discovered this little gem of a youtube video...

I'll never understand a chick's obsession with shoes. Even the cool ones seem to have a shoe problem.

Are you serious? Above all else in my life, I regret the most taking 5 minutes away from watching a Real World/Road Rules Challange marathon to watch that.

maybe I should of said, it's bizarro funny. it was 3 minutes 50 seconds.... but if it was annoying I could see it lasting about 10 minutes.

normally at home and out I'm pretty low key with a pair of Vans as my mainstay. For work I don't think I've paid less than $300 in about 10 years. Thankfully A pair of shoes will last me about a year. Having said that I'll likely have about 2 pairs going at any given time.

Yes, well if it's not one thing it's the other. My last girlfriend was both.
I'm also content with a pair of Vans or Chucks, which usually run $30 and last me a couple years.

Long version: Every year for about 7 years now I spend 25 bucks on a pair black boots from payless. I wear those most of the year. Later, durring the summer, I get two pairs of sandles, one cool one from Gap and one cheaper one from Longs. If I really wanna I also get some black or dark brown adidas style shoes, that's only some years though. I also have dress shoes from payless bought at the same time to get that 2nd pair half off.
Short version: I'm poor.
I like that this has turned into an actual thread about shoes. heh
Two pairs Converse (one high top, one low) and a pair of 16-eye black Docs. That's essentially it. I've got other boots that never get worn anymore, though. Combat boots (for paintball), cowboy boots (from my brokeback mountain days), etc.

I wear a size 14 to 14.5, so I can't buy shoes at 90% of retail stores unless I want to pick from a grand selection of three different shoes.
In ancient times, they called Seumas "Vlad the Impaler". Nowadays we just call him "Sky Fuccker"

yeah, cheaper than vans, though. forest green eh? i don't think i have any outfits that would warrant forrest green shoes on my part, but i've always found them to be a fascinating prospect.
my next pair will probably be dark brown/old lookin.
i'm going to go put my balls back on now. later! :)

All I remember about jelly shoes is girls feet stunk so f-ing bad in those damn things.
Also remember I had a cheap knock off of Pump shoes from CHeetah in the late 80's...or early 90's and I had some LA gear lights that lit up..guess when I was a kid I fell for gimmick shoes.

Did anyone else have to wear the cheapo $10 shoes when they were a kid that would disintigrate after you stepped in the first puddle of water? .
All my converse shoes were like that... I still have my pair of high tops circa 1986 that are mostly in one piece, but disintergrated rather quickly from the day I bought them.

And did any of the girls remember wearing those "jelly shoes" when they were little kids?

after a short inventory check of my shoes, i must admit, i underestimated...
i have 3 pairs of vans slip-ons, a pair of canvas lace-up vans (lowtop), a pair of sandals, a pair of high-top chucks and three pairs of "girlie" shoes (high-heel, low-heel, and flats).
so 9 pairs of shoes altogether. not bad, eh?
**EDIT- my 11 year-old sister has 16 pairs of shoes.

If you count boots i am close to 150 pairs
I love Vans. Mostly because they're comfortable and they make them for my huge feet. Too bad I haven't found any locally since I moved here. I've got some lame ass timberland shoe/sandal hybrid that is really cool, but twice as expensive and half as comfortable.
Too bad we can't all just have hobbit feet.Size 14 Vans: http://www.zappos.com/n/es/d/722057827/size/19/page/1.html
That site has free RETURN shipping, in case they don't fit.
Whatever happened to "hightops"? They were all the rage from like 1986 to 1996. Then it seemed like they disappeared except for on the basketball court.I'm wearing black&white, hightop converse right now! Who says I'm not current?
hilarious video =pWoah. Way to go off-topic there, kid.

I guess my post about actual shoes will get me banned since this thread was supposed to be about the YouTube video...which I didn't really find entertaining.
I'm not really a shoe person. I have a medium-sized shoe collection, what 25 - 40 pairs, but I all of the shoes I've bought over the last 10 years have cost under $25. Not that I get cheaply made shoes, just I will only buy shoes on sale. Boots, dressy, casual bought at Target, DSW, Payless.
Now I am a designer purse whore, but even that I buy low-end designer purses (D&B, Coach) and they still have to be on sale.
Jellie shoes...of course. With the jellie jacket to match.

There are so many non-designer purses out there, but I was ruined in high school. Coach purses were all the rage and I couldn't afford one, so it was the first purse I bought with my adult job. I've tried to carry other purses, but I can't. It's the only high maintenance thing about myself.
