It almost felt like I was watching a dumbed down hak.5. Right down to the set.
Don't get me wrong. I loved the show. Just... A bit subpar on the set and lighting. Felt like they were filming in a closet, a fake brick closet, or basement.
Overall good segments.

My guess... the set studio isn't finished yet.

It isn't. The cameras set up in there show a very bare room. I'm surprised that set is even there at all (I'm guessing they store it away while work is being done in the studio.

It isn't. The cameras set up in there show a very bare room. I'm surprised that set is even there at all (I'm guessing they store it away while work is being done in the studio.I'll say it again - check out the R3G Party Episode. You see the Tekzilla set in the corner of their main office. Its gotta be a temp setup until the studio is built.

yeah noticed it still up in the R3G party eppy, im guessing it wont stay like this for too long. but still worked fine for me.

Whomever designed the set must of been out of new original idea/look.
I've joking the past couple of days. Both Darren and Wess have rented out the studio to revision 3 cause the brick walls to pay off their house morgage, Unlike some they don't have VC money to show off
Jessica Alba and Patrick Norton they both have something in common for being an the "IT Girl/Guy" on a movie. In Pats case, from just a regular show to the Regular show with Patrick Norton walking around. Instantly it comes a hit based on his preferences and gets more attention
One more thing. Why the Code Tek5?
Again sounds similar to Hak5 don't you think

The set does look like the Hak5 one. Face it there was TV shows and online shows long before Hak5 become into existence, which offer the same/similar content and none of them hold a patent on it. I can't remember who said it and it's probably a bastardization but "there are no original ideas"
The Hak5 cast are fairly unlikeable as they take themselves too seriously now, it went from a fun show to shit. Patrick Norton is a genuinely likeable person and appears to like what he is doing which comes across. Hak5 comes across as fake.

this show is a complete ripoff of hak.5 , but with getting everything wrong, lets start with your set , it's the same set as hak.5 all you missing is the monolith.
2) your chick is denser then a brick and needs a bra for those sagging boobs. as opposed to alli , who is fast, witty, artistic and smart , she also has a good personality to match her good looks, and she would never be surprised and how heavy a battery is.
3) you all talk to fast like salesmen
4) you show is like an infomercial with bad commercials (note 3)
5) hak.5 has hosts that will chat with you all day in IRC and know that they are human - you need to come down to earth stop copying every other program out their and make something original
the show as it is needs to die in it's crib and fast , if you think your going to get people to watch this piece of crap instead of hak.5 you are sorely mistaken.

I've been watching Hak5 since day one and the show has turned to shit. Tekzilla is yet another tech show, but it's entertaining and people will watch. I'm sure Alli is a nice girl but lets face it they only give her a segment as she's dating one of the guys. Her segments are terrible.

yeah look, im gonna have to agree, at first i thought she was awful, then i sort of came around, figured her a decent member of the team....then they booted her off to the side, and all she does is the trivia n shit..
Mind you i still watch and somewhat enjoy hak.5

thats because she got tore apart after her gaming segment , and she did not want to go threw that again - Im glad she did the brushes piece, she is a PS genies I have seen her stuff, I hope the guys can convince her to do some more on the show.

The only thing that really bothered me about their makeshift set was the table. It just looked weird. The shape/height/the way the poker table top was tacked on, everything. Maybe it will look better when the backdrop is perfected but for now its almost distractingly weird.

Weird corner backdrop, odd shaped table in the middle, Patrick on the right side of the screen... hmm, remind you of anything? :)
