I'm really interested in spending some money on Rev3 (early content is always good :D ), but currently the only way to donate is via PayPal... I don't use PayPal for many reasons (such as those stupid limits they put on each account until you tell them everything about yourself etc) so that really isn't an option for me.

So, is there going to be another way to get membership? I was thinking in the form of an online shop as you would with a web hosting service.

(Isn't there an email aaddress I can send this sort of thing to? I couldn't find one anywhere!

Good point...Needs to be. Can you not donate via direct credit car?

Another good reason they should start a Revision 3 shop. I would definitely be more likely to donate by "buying" a subscription through the store rather than using PayPal. It would also give them the oppurtunity to give more perks with the membership, like I mentioned previously in another thread. A $60/year member + a free t-shirt, things like that. I'm sure they probably realize this, but I know I would but much much more likely to donate/buy a membership if I got something more than just Diggnation on Saturday nights.

Well most of the members dont donate/buy a membership for Diggnation early.(Correct me if I am wrong members) They buy a membership to support the cause internet television and podcasts. At least, thats why I pay $50 a year.

But my point still stands that if the viewers get a bit more out of the deal, a lot more people will be willing to fork over that much cash.

I support Revision 3 by purchasing what merchandise is available, by subscribing to their shows on iTunes, by posting on their forums everyday, and most importantly by watching the shows they put out. I love what they do and would love to support them in any way that I can, but I don't have $50 to just give away. I have a lot of my own stuff that I need to be supporting, before Revision 3. And I realize I'm not being forced to donate, that's why it's a donation. All I'm trying to do is make the point that if they offered a little more perks in the process, I would be much more willing to do so.

the upgraded membership page doesn't work for me for some reason. I'm logged in, but this page doesn't recognize me as logged in.

Paypal is evil. but it's a necessary one. They f'd with me before, locked mya ccount pending more proof of ID and address. After faxing in my license, a couple utility bills, and a bank statement, they wanted more. And more and more and more. I sent in my birth certificate, office lease agreement, even copies of all my business licenses. My college ID, my library card.... There is nothing I have that they do not. They still wouldn't accept it. I finally filed a lawsuit against them. Oh, how I love knowing the legal system and laws! Anyway, they unlocked my account after two months. And the stupid bastards just locked it again two days ago. How quickly someone there is forgetting that I will not hesitate to sue them.

The thankyou page doesn't matter. You can still go to the diggnation home page and donwload the content early (sunday?) if you are logged in. At least, you should be able to...
