soooo.... Just watching this weeks episode of Hypaspace on Space Channel and they were discussing a comic called Infinite Crisis and referring to it as a "the summer hit". I don't recall seeing this before. Can anyone say whether this is actually any good?

What? How did you miss Infinite Crisis? You didn't go near a DC book in the last year?

It's one of the most confusing stories I've ever read. Didn't like it.

I guess you need to appriciate the DC universe to like it. I really enjoyed it. It got me back into DC comics again after years of more or less only Marvel books.

Actually no, that's the point. I posted on the old forum that I'm not really a DC guy except for Virtigo. I'm wanting to give them a go, but want to know if this is my in.

I dont know if it is the best way to give DC a chance. But if you going to read it, I reccomend you to pick up Identity Crisis first.

Yeah this is a good in point for dc comics. I thought it was good but the ending to it was somewhat disappointing. The Infinite crisis basically encompasses all dc characters so you'll get to know a good lot about the history. It was a major event to sort out the continuity of multiple earths and bring it back to 1. Check out 'villains united' and the 'prelude to infinite crisis'

I really enjoyed Infinite Crisis. They killed some peeps...and made way for new heroes as well as comics to start. because of Infinite Crisis we now have Check Mate...which kicks major azz.

I say just completely SKIP Inifinite Crisis and only read Identity Crisis. I've been reading 52 since it began, and it's the whole continuation of Infinite Crisis, or whatever, and I'm not lost at all. But in general, Identity Crisis is just a good story.

You know what? Just skip all that and wait for the 52 trade, or trades.
