Relax, Kevin and Alex aren't nutritionists. A few months back, Kevin was shocked to realize that alcohol had calories. I mean, calories are a unit of energy and alcohol is flammable for goodness sake.

Alex's doucheberry comment was LOL for me! I loved it, and I loved his little "looks" while kevin was going through his doucheberry wine comments. :)

C'mon, wine tasting can be fun. And if you do any, Tannins are obvious and you'd know what he was trying to say. Also, too true, there is no evidence that aspartame causes cancer any more than water. And scaring people away from using artifical sweeteners is bad because being fat(which is heavily influenced by soft drinks) is much worse for your health than a chance at cancer, assuming that they were shown to elevate the odds. Especially because we may be able to cure cancer some day, but the health problems associated with obsesity are pretty much direct effects of the disorder, only resolved by losing the weight and fat/chloestrol levels.
Artificial sweeteners are a great start to dieting, because they do not require any lifestyle change at all, which is the hardest part of starting.

But he came off as being pretentious while doing it. Thus the funny looks and comments from Alex.
