I know I'm not the only one that misses it, And I know it's the first show, but please rev3.. give us the show we lost when the screen savers was torn apart.

And if you can't/aren't going to, please let me know why so I can stop hoping...

Am i the only one that feels this way?

P.S. the first show was very nice, I will tune in again next time!

It's better than nothing, and it's better than a lot of the other tech programs out there as is.

I've got no complaints.

Plus it's awesome to see Jessica Corbin back on camera, she was always one of my favourites at TechTV.

Yeah, well. I live under a rock. Seriously, I still call what's that game called Wanda & The Colossus.

I agree with the original post. Rev3 has most of the TSS talent. There are a few stragglers on TWiT. I think Rev3 should reach out to Leo and the TWiT crew to make a TSS show just like it used to be.

Would TechTV Canada let Mr. Laporte do a programme on Rev3? And, heck, would Leo be willing to make the drive to the Rev3 studios? That man lives way out in the boonies.

It'd be cool to see him on something at Rev3, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

I say this with love.

First. TSS is dead. Accept that.

Second. Accept Tekzilla for what it is, warts and all. There most likely will never be a TSS v2.0 that will be just like TSS from TechTV. Its like the first time you have sex or the first MMO or FPS you played, the first console you had. Nothing will ever live up to it cause of it was a new discovery to you. Pining over the past will just taint anything new you experience. Move on and experience each thing for what it is with as little expectation as possible and you will enjoy things or in this case, this show, much more. Trust me bro.

Peace

Gads! TSS was much better than the first time I had sex.

I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for Leo to do anything on Revision3. However, many of the best aspects of TSS is echoed in many podcasts like Tekzilla and DL.TV.

well said, A TSS like show might be too much to put into production. Thinking about it, there were many on air talents, and tons of behind the scenes things going on, on TSS not to mention the production that went into each ep. The might have to use every rev3 talent they have to put a show like that together. Maybe with the new Rev3 studio, it might be easier to create and i have a feeling that that space will have the resources of a Professional TV set. But right now, i doubt that would work with the informal format that the rest of the podcast shows have. Kevin Rose explained in an interview that podcasts have to build an audience and can't start out on a grand scale such as a tv show because of sponsors and funding. Don't get me wrong I love TSS and still watch clips on youtube, but i don't know if it would work. it would be nice if it did though..... ;)

I just recently (re)discovered Revision3 and I have to say, this just about gives me back what I lost with TechTV: people having fun, being themselves, and sharing their thoughts on subjects they actually know something about, instead of mindlessly reading off of cue cards (*cough*G4*cough*).

But we should also think about what Rev3 can do that TechTV couldn't. With TechTV, we got a lucky break, with broadcast execs somehow happening upon the bright idea that they shouldn't pander to their audience, resulting in a blessed but fragile formula of geeks having fun that shone brightly for a time, but alas, was darkened.

Now, we have Rev3, and the inmates are finally running the asylum. The old limitations of marketing departments, corporate boards, focus groups, and the FCC are gone. Now, it's whatever the minds at Rev3 and the audience can think up, with in the limitations of the budget, but the budget will catch up as sponsors see and real and proven business.

It's an exciting time, as we're seeing perhaps the first true internet TV network build itself from the ground up, combining the flexibility of its medium with some of the polish of traditional TV. Sure, I miss TSS, but seeing a little of where this is all going, I think this may become a whole lot more.

Gads! TSS was much better than the first time I had sex. :) Yeah - that was for like 1 hour, 5 days a week, and repeated multiple times per day!

Tekzilla is a much more appropriate analogy - about 30min, a little clumsy, and once a week :D

I have to agree here. I'm sure that in time the minds at Rev3 will discover a formula that gives the viewers what they want while at the same time making Rev3 profitable.

Sadly, TSS is gone. I miss it very much, but I firmly believe that Rev3 has the talent and resources to come up with something (or several somethings) better.

It would be nice to see Leo and Patrick together again - they have an incredible chemistry together. Even an occasional guest appearance by Leo would be awesome.

Fantastic. Loved the talent (Jessica's hot and informative, Patrick is the ultimate guy/geek), interesting topics, great tips (I might actually start using the family video camera) and am looking forward to every upcoming episode. Possible future topics: upgrading your computer memory, home networking and the various NAS options available (maybe Patrick has a home-made version to show us). Can't wait for the next installment. jwm

You know what I miss? Leo running about the set with a motorbike helmet stuck on his head.

Is that shit on YouTube?

It should be.

Unfortunately, times have changed. I too miss those days...but having an entertaining edge to tech is something that is just normal now.

Back in the day you were a nerd if you knew Tech stuff. Tech stuff was geeky back in the day. If an iPod were made in 1995, to the cool kids it would've just been nothing more than a device to keep geeks' pocket protectors warm. Now if you don't have an iPod you're not cool.

Everything is here that TSS had but In larger quantities!

If you want them to pack it all into a 60min show your just hurting yourself!

I Like what revision 3 has going and I know its just going to get better as time goes on. :)

Way to go Rev3 I know I'm in for the long haul!

Sorry TSS is dead and buried. Revision3 is dealing with quantity programming rather than quality. They have too many irons in the fire.

I admit, they're having some growing pains. But, I haven't seen the decline of quality that you suggest. As far as the "they" you describe, who exactly do you mean? The staff Revision3 has more than tripled in the last four months as far as I can see. But, they're puting out almost as much original programming as a broadcast network.

Anyhow, I think you're just being mean.

I think what might be more viable is not a regular weekly show but instead doing specials a couple of times a year. I think the "old crew" might be more likely to do a special than doing a regular weekly show. I would rather have a weekly show, but I would take what I could get and specials are better than nothing
