Slipknot - "The Heretic" from the Disasterpieces dvd.
WOW to that dvd. That's such a powerful performance, with what, 16 camera angles to switch through? Man that was some exhausting dvd watching, loved it.
For some reason, I really love that they never show their faces.
Did you see the part at the end, special features maybe, where the lil kid returns a camera to the dj dude, and gets taken backstage. How stoked must that kid have been?

Etoh from the album Since I Left You by The Avalances. (whole album is good though, as is their dj album
Play it on a good system. I've let that song repeat 14-15 times before. As soon as it's over, I want to hear it again.
BTW, talking about how cool and catchy Frontier Psychiatrist is, and me saying that their dj album is great, is because these guys are sample masters. Since I Left You has over 900 samples on it, (legally). I went to a Beastie Boys concert in Sydney in 99 and The Avalanches were opening up for them. I'd never heard of them before but watched in amazement as all these guys on stage constantly switched instruments back and forth, and just seemed to play continuously.

Drink to the Dead - Clutch
I worked as a dj for a public radio station out in the middle of nowhere (about 1 hr away from aspen colorado) and played this song.......... I can't remember what I played after it, because I spent the next 10 mins fielding phone calls from listeners saying "wtf is that badass song". ..To celebrate all the ppl calling and asking about Clutch, I then played Immortal. I love Clutch and if you get the chance, you have to seem them live, them are some supremely talented musicians.

I still cry remembering all my friends going to see Clutch when I had no idea who they were. I passed to hang out drinking....and have yet to see them come back in town since then.

I used to live next door to the house of blues in los angeles and my best friend was a bartender. He called me one night in the middle of the week to tell me to walk across the street and come see some band with some guy who's voice was insane. I went and never looked back - although I did look both ways before crossing the street. Live, wow, such good albums, but man the 3 guys in the band go off, solos and variations of album songs like a demon, every show is different. You should go to their website if you haven't, tonnes of good stuff there. Found this through the site.

By the way, I almost had an epileptic (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Photosensitive_epilepsy) attack at the MM site.
I mean I love the Dope show (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zAZKGDqbWPg) as much as anybody...
in fact, Fight Song (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C64FBkb_gRg) is probably one of the most intense,
most inspiring rock videos of 21st Century music...
(Incidently, it got me into boxing on a bet at the local bar.)
Have you ever liked anything by Trent (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bJN2SPUcXTQ)Reznor (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trent_Reznor) of NIN (http://www.nin.com/) or maybe

I hate to say it, but Korn and Limp Bizkit's first albums were pretty unique. Pity Korns drummer is the only one with any talent in Korn, and the opposite for Limp Bizkit, essentially the band was pretty good, just being horribly mislead by the frontman/label to replicate 'hit's' from the first album. Both bands sold out for their second albums, and then just went disasterously downhill form there. Thankfully Wes Borland is still around. I didn't even know Korn still existed, and could care less about them, and Durst.
Meanwhile, out of the same birthday on MTV, the Deftones are a band of 100% talent, that have only gotten better and better since inception. (mmm, I'll admit Steph isn't a brilliant guitarist, but he's getting better) Good luck to Deftones bassplayer recovery from car accident.

Love Passenger, whole album was great.
Seeing 'Deftones Live In Hawaii' will show you how Steph has a little trouble converting Deftones songs into accoustic arrangements. Most people in the world don't realise, that an electric guitar becomes increasingly easier to play, the louder it gets. Korn have 2, 7-string guitarists in the band, they have 50 songs that are written around the 2 guitarists, chugga-chugging OPEN strings, very loudly on their guitar, which is so incredibly mind-numbingly simple, it's sad.

the worst ever, in the history of Halloween (http://connect.afi.com/images/content/photos/large_12604.jpg) that year that movie came out.
Still haven't forgiven him (http://img.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2008/01_05/robinhood_228x300.jpg) for that, even though I still like his earlier flick
"Dances with Wolves (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zMOQORiWn80)" and all... got my first kiss watching that one.
At any rate, I only really, truly like the one song (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Pp38SR1lMU) by the Bizkit (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Limp_Bizkit).
Although I really, really, really, like everything from Saliva (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saliva_(band)), and on that note:
It's what I'm listening to, 'ladies and gentlemen' (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cdaMvVzqvRA), a great boxing tune...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WBUJ8TFA2YU [Rough Edit]
...and my other all-time favorite Saliva (http://www.islandrecords.com/site/artist_home.php?artist_id=301) song. 'Click Click Boom' (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K47W0UTq_9o)
(it brings back memories of the times when we didn't get my ass kicked)

C'mon, I know you don't have every album now, they're like AC/DC,
there's gotta' be at least one song, one performance, you missed...
Okay, you got me... Sorry about the whole Nickelback (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nickelback) thing,
I know it's a lot like humming those damned Christmas tunes (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oeVWHtWanzc)...
...at least I was being honest about being bombarded with all the
Canadian music up here. We tend to get musically pinched like a zit,
trapped between the Kanucks (http://www.pickuphockey.com/forum/avatars/vancouver_canucks_logo_yellow.jpg) and the Ruskies (http://img230.imageshack.us/img230/1807/getshotxy9.jpg).
Believe me, it tends to really suck ass from time to time.
Remember the whole Costner (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kevin_Costner) slash Bryan Adams (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bryan_Adams) thing a while back?

Sorry I got all, er, ah, "hyper (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTML)" there...
I tend to get that way, well, er... most of the time.
It's part of the insanity I guess. Personally, I think it funny.
(...insert sound of crickets (http://simplythebest.net/sounds/WAV/sound_effects_WAV/sound_effect_WAV_files/crickets_1.wav) here...)
On that note, another brief set of songs we've all heard 3x10^23 times already:
Puddle of Mudd (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Puddle_of_Mudd), Psycho (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yU_JyGBDeIc)
Everlast (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Everlast_(musician)), What it's Like (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4z9f9Eybv4I)
Fiona Apple (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fiona_Apple), Criminal (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uTpvjNn2BUM)
Chris Isaak (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chris_Isaak), Baby did a bad, bad thing (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fbpv7IUTm5k)
And since I'm addicted to Jane's (http://www2.janes.com/public/login.html), I'll be listening (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZuhiH_fk1bg) to Jane's Addiction (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jane's_Addiction), during my surf session.
