Kinda odd really. I've been working my way backwards with Radiohead's music. After listening and enjoying In_Rainbows, I tried starting with The Bends at my brother's request (then Pablo Honey) but I just couldn't get into it... then I just started with Hail to the Thief and ended up going backwards and listening to its kind of... regression. Its kinda interesting seeing how different their stuff has progressed by listening to it in reverse order. I've pretty much tackled OK Computer, so I think I'm ready for The Bends now :3

I was asked by a close friend (and huge music fan) to make a CD of music for her son's wake (he was 22) that wouldn't be downer music, but more of a celebration and healing for the family. This was by far my favorite selection.

The interesting thing was, the CD was skipping back to a section of the song where it slows down a bit. But, because it fit so perfectly with the song we were letting it run for 10-15 minutes without ever realizing that the song was skipping.

My happy point was when she was talking to some friends of his and she was bouncing her head along with the song. To me that meant she was gonna make it through this some day, with the help of some great songs like this one.

a friend just told me about a band called '8-Bit Weapon'. Their main instrument is actually a Commodore 64 with a keyboard overlay/synthesizer cartridge, and they also use an Atari 2600 and an IntelliVision for other sounds as well as regular drums and guitars.
