Those aren't really the oddities that martin seems to be going for though.. They'd be interesting...but lets face it, sarge is after funny.

1) Meet the guy(Gene Ray I think) who does the whole Time Cube (http://www.timecube.com/) theory. I think hes been interviewed by newspapers before and is supposed to be a real nutcase.
2) An on site tour of Internet's infamous Power Labs (http://www.powerlabs.org/) site where they make energy weapons for fun and no profit.
3) Figure out exactly WTF is wrong with the people who run JList.com or similar "perverse japanese imports" stores that sponsor sites like SA.
4) Those crazy guys who stage huge medieval battles with foam weapons.

4) Those crazy guys who stage huge medieval battles with foam weapons.Martin could have lots of fun with a bunch of larpers :), but I think a cosplay fetish show would work as well :D

Hey...コスプレの写真が大好きです。
There are tons of different variations of cosplay; I think Martin would have the most fun with the Gothic Lolita type cosplayers, as they take their stuff realy seriously but stand out on a whole different level against the mainstream from the more standard ones.

Poking fun at crazy people is funny but watching crazy people interact with other crazy people is where it's at. I would like to see an assortment of crazy people on the same show. It doesn't have to involve a competition but it would help if they dislike each other.
On Larry King Live, I once watched an episode where he had a Baptist, a Catholic & a Jew duke it out. It was great, they were all damning each other to hell. If you could get an assortment of maniacs of that caliber on your show and add in some Martyisms that would definitely be a show to watch.

I really wasn't impressed with this episode at all, but there is potential here. My biggest gripe is the removal of the voice over narration. This guy is absolutely ridiculous, but it almost seemed like Martin was buying into it or, at some points, that the guy was faking his beliefs for the sake of getting on the web, both of which I know aren't true.
The voice over in the previous episodes not only made Martin more condescending but, through that, also made the people he was visiting (like the guy who thinks he can talk to aliens) seem more serious about their beliefs.
I think the editing can also be changed to work towards this goal. Now that I think of it, I believe the previous episodes were edited differently, having more shots of Martin looking dumbfound and the subject looking stupid.
One last little minor gripe: the new song didn't feel right. I'm sure the song was changed for some legal issue, but I think that the show needs something with more energy to it.

I can only think of 2 suggestions for the show. (which was hilarious)
1. I bit more length would be good. It was a very quick episode at 25% of it was teased in all the promos leading up to the episode.
2. It would have been nice to see a wrap up segment at the end where Martin talks about the adventure in Old Town. A small 2-3mins spot which lets the viewer see Martin's over all thoughts on the entire experience.

I would like to see longer videos aswell. Up to an hour is good for me. I also agree that I like the old intro much better. Even if you can't use that same song, the video of you getting ready and shaving and stuff was still a cool video, maybe with different music, it would still be alright. Also, that whole burning fire transition was way over used on the episode. I hope it gets toned down in future episodes. Well, that's all I can think of at the moment.
Oh ya, Joey and Gator need to be riding shotgun with you. lol

love your work Martin as always!
I think you should get more into paranormal & conspiracy theory stuff. There are plenty of tripped out conspiracy sites such as 100777.com and conspiracyarchive.com - these guys have a conspiracy theory for just about everything. I'm sure the people that maintain them would be just as tripped out and no doubt they would be more than happy to share a doob with you, infact thats another show in itself "Web Drifter gets high with (add stoner site here)". Here's one to check out www.churchofreality.org
Anyways, Love the show, love the sense of humor! Keep it up :)

Anyone heard of Ulillillia?
http://www.ulillillia.us/mainindex.shtml
Spend a while browsing his site. He's the textbook definition of Asperger's Syndrome. He methodically updates his website and describes his dream log, his various phobias (blue water, mirrors, the words 'person' and 'people'), describes his rationale for not showering, his strange sleeping habits, and has a habit of assigning numbers to virtually every concept and feeling he encounters. He's severely addicted to video games, and has spent over 500 hours on one level of a game called "bubsy 3d", which you can find his narrative on youtube. He has aversions to vulgarity, sunlight, and basically any social interaction. His severe videogame addiction is self-diagnosed, and he attributes it to several of his phobias, but he continues to play games, and also listens to videogame music, which he varies the speed of, and will listen to this exclusively for days on end.
I spent literally a couple hours last week browsing his site, and only got through a fraction of it. The guy's crazy in a strange sort of Mr Rogers way, but would make a fascinating webdrifter episode.

how about a scientology episode.
how about a scientology episode.
They're unfortunately not mainly internet based and would sue the pants off poor rev3.
I like the elimination of end episode skits. I prefer the banter in the interview. The situations are what is humorous. For example the MedicalToys episode was funny, while I didn't mind the skit, but the episode definitely didn't need it and could have simply used more weird stuff.

The girls in the office and I can't wait until the next season of Web Drifter! It has become our water cooler. But what we'd really like to know is, what is really going on in Martins head? Some of the facial expressions are priceless! We'd like to see an episode (maybe in the Best Of), Episode 5 - Never Never Again Land- what was going on in your mind when you were squeezing into that fairy suit, or the last episode, Episode 24 - Come On, Feel The Noise, how awkward was that! LMAO! There are so many to choose from. How do you manage to keep it together.....

Yeah...I do that. But I don't take it seriously, probably because I'm new at it. I don't follow all the "rules" hell it's hard to follow everything as they don't have outfits put together for us already at local malls like they do in Japan.

OK, I know MANY of these people. I'm pretty wierd myself. And I know why they call themselves Vampires/Vampyres. It's all to do with prana and energy exchange...and some blood-letting with some. There are thousands in the USA alone.... most are goth some are not. And the best part is they LOVE attention and being on TV. Around halloween you can see them on History channel, Sci-fi, and even CSI.
I first read about them from Katherine Ramsland's book: "Piercing the Darkness: Uncovering the Vampires in America" and I actually had a nightmare from it because a reporter dissapeared...but really I was naive! They only THINK they're scary. Martin would be fine!
Your BEST bets (most media hungry) are...
The Vampire Don Henrie of Vegas (was on scifi's mad mad house): http://vampiredon.net
Father Todd aka Aaron aka Sabasitaan ...or whatever he goes by at the moment (writer and club owner from NY): http://www.encyclopediadramatica.com/Todd_Hoyt
And my fave (of Ohio) who I actually like as a person...and she's pretty well educated, the writer Michelle Belanger: http://www.michellebelanger.com/
http://www.encyclopediadramatica.com/Michelle_Belanger
OK....yeah. Just don't tell them who sent you. Because well, I sometimes attend their parties. Around Halloween, ya know? LOL
Or you could do a story on "Otherkin"... one step up from "Furries!" *shivvers* Furries are MUCH scarier than Vampires! PS: if you are even at a sci-fi con...don't venture past the furrie room after dark...
But the Vampires are harmless goths.

Is there any truth to the rumor I heard that there is talk about doing away with WebDrifter? I know it's an expensive program because of all the travel involved, but it is exceptionally entertaining... I'd hate to see it go.
