Martin web drifts ChurchOfTomJones.com to learn from its founder, Pastor Jack Stahl. Martin and Pastor Jack team up like gunslingers of God to cleanse the mean streets of Old Town Sacramento of filthy sinners.
Next Week: Martin web drifts the site of a guy who thinks he's Peter Pan.

i already saw this back on unscrewed, seems kind of lame to have the same guy on your show that you actually had like 5 years prior.
they even have the pastor's appearance recorded on an unscrewed clip on the churchoftomjones.com website

Excellent episode. The one thing I don't like is the new intro music. I like the intro song from the pilot episodes better. Can't wait until next week.

Make it download faster!!! 600KB/s is not enough for something I have been waiting for this long!:)
As strange as it is, this summer when I went back home to do some work for my Dad's(50 years old, sales exec guy) company, he had seem me watching Revision3 and checked out some of their stuff, and thought it was all hopeless garbage with the exception of Web Drifter. This was in like June, so it seems like this show has always had some degree of mainstream appeal.
Interesting blog post about how Web Drifter came to be from Mr. Jay Adelson
Its always interesting when Jay posts on digg or his blog or whatever. He seems almost too real to be a business person. Maybe I've grown too distrustful of them already as an engineering person. :D
...just want to add, saw the episode, and it was great. Definitely off to the fabled good start.

Does anyone happen to have video of when he was on Unscrewed back in 2003?

Pretty good episode. It would have been great if you could have booked a rival kook... I mean religious healer and have them compete to see who can save the most souls.

I Love This Show
The show has great potential, but I didn't think this episode was that great.

The show has great potential, but I didn't think this episode was that great. This show has awesome potential. But I agree. I remember enjoying the first three episodes more.
Also, what's with the credits at the end? Copyright 1997 REV3?? 1997??

That might be because we have seen that one clip from this episode a lot of times in other Rev3 shows.

Is that guy that Martin was with, the pastor, really a real pastor or is it some kinda joke?

Had you considered that while Unscrewed was broadcast to Americans.....the rest of the globe perhaps had little to no chance to catch the show? Thus with Web Drifter being accessible to all of the connected world, knowledge of the church of Tom Jones is now available via Martin Sargeant to the billions (let me emphasize the *potential* of the word BILLIONS here....) of people on the globe who were previously unable to watch his antics on Unscrewed.
Bam.

I think Web Drifter and Infected are much better than Unscrewed. I found it hard to watch Unscrewed back in the day as I'd only really enjoy a fraction of the show each airing. It seems like the past work was padded with a bunch of crap to try to make it appeal to more people, resulting in it being a jack of all trades offbeat comedy hour...and of course, master of none. Also, while Laura may have been a bit more easy on the eyes than the Gator(no offense, Gator), she really didn't add to the comedy aspect of the show...and with out that, whats the point?:)

Oh Jesus Christ I never thought i would hear of Pastor Jack again.....
Pastor Jack used to come talk on this radio show I listened to probably 7 years ago. It was the KiddChris show, he came on after Oppie and Anthony but got canceled after O&As whole Sex for Sam thing.
Trivia: Pastor Jack likes fat chicks

Good episode. Not as great as I would have hoped but I do have high hopes for this show. I do miss the old song and what was up with the 1997 at the end? But it's still Martin being Martin, so you know I'll watch. :) I have no doubt that this will be a hit in weeks to come.
I also read the post on digg that Jay wrote. It turns out that I may have had the guy all wrong. It's still kinda hard for me to trust corporate suits. However, if he plans on cancelling infected, then he will have a fight on his hands.
Anyways Martin, I give webdrifter two thumbs up.
I would like to see a show called webbdrifter. Morgan Webb style. lol --- Oh shoot, now G4 is going to steal that to replace Morgan Minute. Dam.:p

Hey now... Just a reminder guys, I'm the Chairman of the Board, and the CEO is Jim Louderback. I had to do that to focus on Digg full time, but I still meddle just enough to annoy the crap out of the Revision3 staff. ;) The point being, I don't make programming decisions anymore!
Clearly, as my post explains, I'm a Martin fan. The guy can do no wrong. If the powers that be cancel Infected... Well... I'll certainly be disappointed along with Martin. We'll probably go get drunk together and Joey will have to drag us off the floor of some rest area on Route 80. Gator and I will start our own fish fry stand somewhere and die-hard fans can find us and buy our toxic iced tea while we tell stories of the olden days.
As for suits... Well, it hurts to be called a "suit," but I guess that's my job. I wasn't always a suit, I was an engineer...Actually, a network engineer, once...So I share your distrust of suits. Outside of the Kevin Rose Kool Kit, I haven't worn a suit in ages. Still, I own them. :)

That was a great show, and I see a lot of potential in "Webdrifter" more so than was inherent in "Infected".
Can't wait to see more.

well, we at the United Galactic Front believe this to be the best episode so far....ok....fine....there is no United Galactic Front to speak of.....yet......until the squirrels attack at least..........right.....hmm......
anyway, on a serious note, theres no way they can cancel this show... besides diggnation, systm, infected, and the broken, its the only other revision3 show I actually take time to throw on a dvd and pop it in [no, not that way...] and watch it with my friends on saturdays....yes, it's just that entertaining.
Keep up the good work...
and if kevin takes you down, then the UGF will turn over planet earth to the League of Evil Squirrels....

On going success of Web Drifter was guaranteed.
Pastor Jack excorcised <?> the evil spirits of failure (Jack and Daniel?) from Martin. All should be good now.
Hope Martin reovered fromt he bad case of monkey butt and crotch rot from wearing the leather pants. Did he borrow them from Laura Swisher?

Good ep. Change in the theme music too? I enjoyed the show cause it went out and about. I'm surprised it was so short. Especially going all the way up to sacramento. Perhaps there just wasn't enough good footage to get some more time. Really brave of martin to wear the leather. GD. I wonder what that guy will think if Tom Jones ever turns up in Sacramento. I look forward to the next episode and hope it's a bit longer.

Did he really get mad when Martin started talking in "tongues"? Talking in tongues? I thought Martin was channeling Tom Jones and speaking Welsh!
If you have ever heard a conversation in Welsh (and I don't mean watching Torchwood), you'd swear they were talking in tongues.

I just want to say sorry for blaming you. I realize now that it is Jim Louderback who I should be focusing my anger on. I am also sorry about the suit comment. I can only imagine how hard you guys work to bring these shows to us, and I am truely grateful. And it's good to here that your an Infected fan. Please accept my deepest apology
