Do I realize that the odds of "making" it as a director/writer in Hollywood are 13 billion to 1? Yes.

Do I still want to do it? Yup. I guess I am crazy.

Thats about what I do....I used to be big on making Red Vs Blue type movies. I have one real cool one in which its almost D-Day in Halo 2 on Zanzibar. It was very fun to shoot as well.

My sister and I have always fantasized about writing, directing, and producing our own film(s). Kind of like a Coen brother collaboration, except better looking and female (hee hee).

I'd like to be involved with computer animation (a la pixar) so that's my current dream job.

Does anyone know what's involved in this type of thing? What kind of degree etc..A good school for this. If anyone wants to PM with some stuff I know I could look it up but I would rather have a human tell me these type of things.

I would suspect that you could contact Pixar via email or letter or find someone who works there and simply ask them what they look for in an artist. What schools, what experience, etc. That will give you a far better idea. I work with a lot of people from both Apple and Pixar, but nobody in the art departments.

Whatever you do, don't fall for the bullshit vocational stuff. You want a real school.

Alright...Plan on doing that right now. Anyway I could contact you and talk to you about what you do? If you dont have time I understand, just trying to get an idea of what I want to do.

Right now I want to get into the movie industry, as a writer and director. I know it's hard, and I don't know how to do it :D

I live in Denmark, but I'm thinking of going to USA to study.

I'm not all that interested in making movies. I'm a stage actress and love that! Although I do have a few friends that do a lot of voice over work and that is really appealing. When I was younger my dream was to be the singing voice of a disney princess... so I guess that counts as making movies...? I'd be happy with a simple record deal though ;)

I wanna make movies, and i plan to soon. But unlike a lot of people im striven to be a straight to video king. i wanna do those little to no budget movies we all pick up at blockbuster when then movies we want are checked out.

Ive got a great Slasher flick im working on now with a few friends, We keeping it cheap no real actors, shooting in mini dv, lots of blood and nudity and were gonna shoot for just 3 days. When thats done its on to our blacksploitation kungfu epic.

I want to say some of the stuff they released has made it to HBO as well, but I can't remember what it was.

I bought a widescreen MiniDV camcorder for a European vacation (Panasonic PV-GS500). The quality is great, and the native 16:9 aspect is terrific, but its not quite HD quality. Definately up to DVD standard though. I have just started editting the footage down ... anyone else do that sort of thing? What software do you use (WinXP based - I am not buying a Mac just for video editting)?

My goal is to make enough money in the industry to actually be considered a professional actor. I have made a few movies here and there (you can check me out on IMDB (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1507759/)) So if you ever need a Jonah Hill type... only better looking and more talented... give me a call!

Juan beat me to the punch. But what's most important is that you stop talking about the stuff you're GOING to do and just do it.

For years I have had movie ideas in my head, but always struggled to get it on paper, until I found this fee scriptwriting software, http://www.celtx.com. Now the words are just flying.
