Let me know what features you need on the forum, tell me here or better yet, email shane (shane@revision3.com). I am making a list and I'm checking it twice.

Do me a favour, if something is already posted then don't bother posting unless you have something new, it will make it easier to wade through this list when it is time to ship the info out.

yes, I know IPB has support for it, usually disabled by default.
so you can post youtube, google, etc videos in your post

'View New Posts Since Last Visit'
I know there is a QuickLink that takes you to 'Today's Posts', but it's not quite the same thing.

I would like a Video Games forum
Also would like for regular users to NOT have usernames like Administrator, Revision3, Admin, Owner, etc.... that could confuse us into thinking they're part of Rev3.

i have never had an issue with loading time at all. plays right in the post without skipping a beat
Exactly, not everybody wants to see every video.
As for images in signatures I have to say no as well because it takes away from every post. It makes read content hard to find and read.

I would like to be able to have image signatures within limits... such as 450 x 100 and under 100kb in size etc... :)

Having a feature that allows you to add mulitple quotes to a reply without having to copy and paste because that's hard.

Suggestion: A gaming forum.
MPH: Anyone have it? Post your friend code and we'll play.
My friend code is 2663 - 6760 - 0597.
Just a minor detail:
I was wondering whether the icon that shows up next to the url in the address bar was going to stay the same as it was with the old Rev3 forums? Perhaps it could be changed to that TV that takes place of the 'O' in Revision.

I have a small suggestion for the Rev3 main site, not the forums.
I would like for the flash player to be at least 1/2 again or twice as big as it is now. Not in overall quality, just the player dimensions. Maybe a 2x zoom or something.
I used to download the WMV low quality, and stretch it out to cover most of my screen, but I'm starting to like the flash player.
So now I have to decide, do I load the WMV, let it buffer for a minute and enjoy diggnation at mostly full screen at decent quality....or do I watch the flash version with my nose about an inch from the screen....
I think if the flash player itself was bigger, using the same FLV, the quality would still be very watchable.
(ohh and +1 for the forum log in thing, it won't remember me either):D

i think that pixelperfect is probably one of, if not, the best show on the network. it should have its own subforum too.
but really, this is the best thing to happen to the internet for a long time :P....
reminds me of the good ol' techtv days :[
keep it up, great work guys.

A form for our digg usernames and so they can be shown next to the aim, msn, and yahoo buttons.

Can someone please fix the broken links and upload all the files that should be on the show pages(Asterisk links, Pixel Perfect .PSD files)?
I realize forum staff can't do anything about this, but how about mentioning it to someone who can? I know I'm not the only one who would really like some of those files that are supposed to be on the site.

Hey! is there anyway you guys could provide the audio only version of your podcasts? Kind of like what Real Time with Bill Maher does. Shouldn't be too tough you know? Just publish the audio track of your podcast as a podcast.
good idea? non?

Okay, I've went through and cleaned this thread up a bit. I'll continue to delete posts out of it as issues are addressed, or added. It's just easier to keep everything straight this way. :)

A pictures forum would be awesome....For like Photoshop shit. Just cool pictures, etc. Also a video section to go with that. It would just be a nice little new thing under the Computing section where Apple, Windows, etc are.
I would also like to see the Minimum 10 characters taken away. Alot of times, 1 word responses are appropriate and I get tired of putting ........

To cut down on spam, a five or ten post minimum before a "newbie" can start a new thread.
I've seen it used on other forums and it seems to help. Not a cure-all but it helps.

I was actually suggesting that we make it so people have to request membership, that way we know a bot from real people.

If you do that...Then someone has to make sure that there is someone always watching that so some dude doesnt have to wait 12 hours just to get a membership....I know it doesnt sound like a long time but that would piss the hell out of me. It always does...When a forum says, your membership is now under review, we will email you when its been approved.

They will probably just start spamming topics that are already there then.

That can be alittle annoying.
Both would help cut down on spam though.

I want the download files that Bert provides for working along with him to actually be usable on my computer! I download the files he provides, but when I try to open the zipped files, I get the error message "file is not a valid archive file, or is corrupt."
I have tried it on two different computers and get the same result, so the problem is not on my end.
Could you investigate this please?

yea the ever ongoing battle agains the bots, I won a victory on a forums Im admin on the bot count is down to a dwindling dozen a month and they never post, course that was on a phpBB forum so that kinda says it right there spam city :) problem is for getting rid of the bots your going to end up sacraficing one thing or another in the process its just a matter of selecting the lesser of the 2 evils really. the alternative of doing nothing however well try going to http://www.casemodgod.com and you will see what I mean.

Does this forum use database marked read system, or the cookie based one? I'd prefer the db one, so I can revisit the forum without losing the unread posts.

Dunno what it is, but 'Go to last post' arrow still doesn't on many threads.Since the last update, this has worked really well for me. I *did* need to remove one of the userscripts (greasemonkey js script used via Opera), and now its great.
What browser are you using? Cleared the cache? Any funky greasemonkey scripts?

I think we should be able to Digg or bury topics and comments. What do you think?
Jay and Kevin are in control of both Digg and Revision3. I know that they are separate corporate entities, but I think it would be a nice feature.

I don't agree for the burying thing here... I mean we don't have to bury comments. This is not to messed up here... It's a pretty clean forum... Why burying ?
