Yeah, she mentioned on DL.TV (http://dl.tv/2007/10/episode_199_another_guest_host.php), where she was also on, talking about the same stuff.

It is the Canon HV20, the best HD camcorder for the price:

I have had my eyes on it for months. Planning on getting one soon... hopefully.

So this is like a decent, broadcast quality, HD camera, that you can walk around and record to and even get a mic to connect to it on the go? 900 for it seems great.

Sorry, I don't think of that as broadcast quality. It is good for home use and semi-pro but if you are talking broadcast quality you need to look at this: http://bssc.sel.sony.com/BroadcastandBusiness/DisplayModel?m=10014&p=2&sp=24&id=87211

Well depends on your definition of broadcast quality.... it could be broadcast on TV, especially since it has a 24p mode which I hear looks AWESOME.

But for $900 you won't obviously come close to the pro level equipment.

The HV20 is a high end consumer/prosumer camcorder.

What was the devise below Morgan's HV20 that let you use XLR inputs into the camera?

I don't know the specific model and make of that 1/8" to XLR breakout box was, but Beachtek makes a similar product

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/136397-REG/Beachtek_DXA4_DXA_4_Audio_Adapter.html

It's used a lot in the prosumer/public access television field etc. because it's small and allows you to hookup a better microphone or mixer than the mics with 1/8th" jacks.
